You've all heard about the tvshow "Good Luck Charlie" right? Well, this story is based on that tv show. This is when Charlie grows up and meets Mr Bieber:)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My mom, Amy Duncan, smiled and placed the laptop infront of me. I just furrowed my eyebrows and looked at her as she sat down. She gestured for me to open the laptop, which I did, and a video popped up of my older sister, Teddy. She moved far away and I never really got to see her anymore. I pressed play and listened and watched as she video taped everyone around her, giving me a helpful tip in life.
"So if you ever bring a boy home... well, good luck Charlie." she smiled, placing her hand over the screen, turning the camera off. I smiled, happy tears in my eyes as I looked up to my mom. I haven't seen my sisters face in forever and just hearing her voice brought tears to my eyes. Then, seeing how happy my family was with dad still around. It was all to over whelming. I stood up, the laptop sliding onto the couch as I did so, and ran up into the basement where my room, or Teddy's room is. She gave it to me when she left.
I miss her so so much.
"Charlie.. come on." my mom called, running down the stairs after me. But by the time she was rushing to my door, I was already locking it and running to the bed ready to cry my eyes out. She should know that I was really sensitive about life when most of our family was here.
You see, dad or, Bobby (but everyone calls him Bob) Duncan, was at his job and got bit by a really venomous snake, putting him in the hospital and killing him only a week later. When he left, everyone wasn't hypergenic anymore. Teddy was still here, ready to turn eighteen while PJ was already twenty and still trying to find a job and Gabe was 13 and I was going on 6. Mom told me all about it and I barely remember dad. But I remember him.
A month or so of depression around the house, Teddy finally decided to move out. She said her goodbyes to everyone and mom told me that she spent most of her goodbyes on me and mom. She left with tears in her eyes and mom crying. She moved all the way to England where she's a big-time fashion designer and we never see her anymore. We probably saw her once every three or four years. I'm already about to turn sixteen. We're all hoping that Teddy will come back for my sweet sixteen, but we can only hope.
PJ finally moved out a few months later, being in his late twenties. He's in an apartment building only two or three minutes away and we get to see him almost every day. Everyone knows he can't take care of himself so we visit and help him out every once in a while.
Then there's Gabe. Gabe is already twenty two and still living here. He keeps saying he'll finally move into the apartment with PJ and help him out but that will most deffidently not happen and I wouldn't be surprised if he lived here his whole life. Sure, he still picks on me every now and again but he's a really good brother and is really protective.
"Charlie, sweetie.." mom said again, snapping me out of my every thought with her knocking. "Open up, we can talk about this.."
"There's nothing to talk about!" I cried, only letting more tears out. "Dad, Teddy, and PJ is gone!" I cried again. "Mom, half of my life is gone!" by now, she was already re-locking the door and sitting beside me, brushing my blonde hair that I got from someone on mom's side of the family. I looked a lot like Teddy and PJ, but a tad bit like Gabe.
"Honey, don't say that." she said, shushing me.
"But, mom. It's true! We never see Teddy anymore and PJ isn't here, making immature pancakes and saying their for me when they're for him, and Gabe is about to leave so now, I won't even have a protective brother anymore! Besides, I never had a dad to say that my skirt is too short or hugging me even though I tell him it's embarrassing," I let out another sob. "It kills me to see everyone together, happily, like a family and I can't even remember it. It just hurts."
"You're dad never left and he never will leave. He's always going to be here with you." mom said sternly. "And PJ isn't really gone. He barely stays in the apartments. And Gabe, I doubt he'll ever leave. Then Teddy, we're lucky to see her once every few years."
"I know, mom." I sniffled.
"Can you promise me something?" she asked in a hopeful voice. I nodded.
"Anything." I gulped down the rest of my sadness and looked at my mom.
"Promise me that you'll give me grandchildren." I let out a laugh at my mom's favor. I nodded, hugging her. "Thank you, Charlie." she murmured, hugging me. I nodded before Gabe bursted through my door.
"What's with the tears? Tears are depressing." He said. "So stop with the crying and make me food."
"You're such a moment ruiner." I laughed through the leftover tears, getting out of mom's grip and punching Gabe in the shoulder before dashing up the stairs. I could hear Gabe's laughter behind me as I ran into the kitchen.
"Hey, Charlie?" my mom's voice came.
"Yeah, mom?" I asked, getting into the chalkboard fridge.
"Wanna come to Chicago with me?" she asked, coming through the kitchen door.
"What's in Chicago?" I asked, shutting the fridge with a bottle of juice, looking her in the eye. She walked around the island and got her bottle of water.
"My sister." she shrugged. I nodded.
"Sounds good." I smiled. She nodded like I did before taking a big drink of water. "Gabe coming?" I asked. As she nodded, she swallowed her watter.
"Is Gabe coming where?" Gabe asked, coming through the kitchen door and sitting down on one of the blue chairs.
"Nothing." me and my mom shrugged. We winked at each other before walking out of the kithchen.
"You guys are so weird." Gabe laughed, still in the kitchen.
