Chapter 12: Regret

"No." I said to Betty.

"I can't..."

"Why not Y/N? Come on we'll be the unstoppable duo again." Betty said while looking shock

I was silent for a moment, Then the school bell rang.

"Give me time, I'll tell you my answer at lunch." I said while walking away towards my classroom.

"Alright Y/N, I'm looking forward to your answer~" Betty said.

In class I sat next to my best friend Thomas.

"Hey Dude." Thomas greeted as I sat down next to him.

"Hey." Was all I could say.

"Did something happend?" He asked with a worried expression on his face.

"... Look so I saw Michael and Brianna Litwood go into the Janitor's Closet earlier." I whispered to him.

"Wait isn't Michael dating Ciara?" He whispered back.

"Yeah and guess what Betty saw it too, and now... Well she wants me to help her to you know... Spread the news that Michael Afton cheated on Ciara Carlton." I explained to him.

"Well I mean he deserves it, You loved exposing men like him, Why are you having second thoughts Y/N?". Thomas asked me.

"It's just that... Well.." I hesitated to speak, Thomas raised a brow.

"Y/N I feel like there's something you aren't telling me."

"Fine but don't tell anyone about this..."

"Alright go ahead, Spill it." Thomas said in a demanding tone.

"Well you know Cora right?" I asked him.

"Yeah, Shes Ciara's older sister right?" Thomas asked.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Ok so what does that have to do with you not spreading the news of his cheating?" Thomas was really curious on why I was willing to defend his sorry ass.

"Michael used to like Cora and Cora led him on so she could get close with his Best Friend... Now this is his way of revenge." I explained.

"Still, That doesn't justify his action on cheating on Ciara, She really loves him-
I mean have you seen everything she's done for him?" His words made me realize... Michael's wrong, What he's doing is wrong.

Ciara is a great girlfriend towards Michael, They've been together for a year and a half now.

Ciara would pay for dates, and she's the one buying flowers and gifts for him.

Michael on the other hand would always be a total jerk towards her, The only thing he's over got her was a box of cheap chocolate and a shitty note saying "Ily Cira" Her name isn't even spelled right!

"Right... I'm sorry I just... Got confused... Thank you for making me realize that you know.." Before I could finish what I was saying to him the teacher came in.

"Good Morning Class today we are learning about...."

°~At Lunch Break~°

I got out of my class and Betty was waiting outside my Classroom.

"Well, do you have an answer?" Betty asked while leaning against the wall.

"Let's do it Betty." I answered her.

"*Chuckles* Well then let's go spread it." With that Betty and I went our separate ways and we started spreading the rumors via students.

°~In the hallway~°

"Hey Linda have you heard that Michael Afton cheated on Ciara Carlton with Brianna Litwood earlier?"

"Yeah Ezra I heard that Michael and Brianna did it in the Janitor's Closet."

"No way! no wonder I heard some girl making noises earlier!"

°~In the teacher's lounge~°

"Hey Ms. Josephine have you heard?"

"No I haven't. What is it Mr. John?"

"You know Michael Afton right?"

"Yes he is one of my students."

"Well I heard he and Brianna Litwood did it in the Janitor's Closet."

"Wait but Michael's in a relationship with Ciara."

"Well Ms. Josephine, He is obviously cheating on her."

In the cafeteria

"We did it Betty its done." I said to Betty.

"Hell yeah we did!" She said while taking a seat in the cafeteria.

I sat down next to her and we started eating our lunch.

I then heard a voice... Calling me.

"Y/N! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"
