It was a simple fall day. Trees were losing their leaves and letting place to the cold air of winter. Looking through the window of her bedroom, Aemilia sighted for a long time. After a few more seconds looking at the dim clouds flowing lazily through the monotonous sky, she wen't back to her business: She contemplated her bag half filled with clothes, pencils, papers, and other diverse items she would use. In a few hours, she'll be out of the country and on her way to Pennsylvania. Her and her friends had to investigate and explore desolated places in hope to find things worth writing about for their reporter jobs. And if nothing would be worth writing, they would still tell stories and Imaginate scenarios when they'll meet each other in a few weeks.

After maybe 1 hour, she was ready to go. She took bag, now full, put on her short black leather jacket, covering the top of her outfit and matching her short black leather boots. Looking one last time in her living room to check if she forgot anything, she turned back, locked the door and headed to her car.

The whole road trip was quiet. She was listening to some music and podcasts and took some breaks here and there. Until, after a few hours, she saw the Pennsylvania sign welcoming her with dim but open arms.

She stopped for a moment to try and remind herself where she was going precisely. She looked through her bag looking for the precious flyer: what was it already? Silent Hill? All she know sis that it was abandoned for longer than the people living close could remember. She tried to gather as much memories about it while looking for the flyer.

Aemilia: Ah, shit, where did I put it-

She thoroughly looked through every part of her bag, eventually emptying out on her backseat, before looking through every part of the car. When nothing was found, she eventually put everything back in place and decided to call her friends. And lucky her, her phone call went through despise the poor connexion.

Lea: Oi, you managed to drive all the way?

Aemilia: Almost, I just arrived near Pennsylvania, but I kind of forgot where I had to go-

Lea: don't you have the flyer with you?

Aemilia: I think I lost it

Lea: ...bruh

Aemilia: I'm sORRY I WAS STRESSED OUT.

Lea: Alright alright: give me a sec I think I might have a double somewhere, don't hang up.

Aemilia: Thanks gurl-

Lea: Yeah yeah. Hold ooonnnn- Right there! Alright so, you have to head North basically. The place you need to go to is Silent Hills, so I guess you'll have to look for a mountain or some shit like that.

Aemilia: duh

Lea: After once you're there, you have to find the abandoned school, that's where the boss wants you to explore. I'll send you a map quickly, call me back if you have any problems.

Aemilia: Thanks queen- Oh, also, how are the other doing? And are you at your spot yet?

Lea: huuuhhh well Leo just took his plane to Korea and Alice has yet to go.

Aemilia: And you?

Lea: Oh, I'm taking my time. I'll go maybe next week? It's not that far anyway. Anyway, take care gurl? Don't get somehow killed or turned into a possessed doll or something like that.

Aemilia: hA- don't count on it- well see you later too!

Lea: Bye!

And like that, Aemilia hung up. After a few seconds, her phone vibrated, and she received Lea's map for Silent Hill. Today was going to be an interesting day.

After what felt like hours, Aemilia was tired. Like, really tired. She had bags under her eyes, she thought she could hear colors and almost couldn't differentiate the road and the dark background. How the fuck couldn't she find the way to the mountain? She had followed the map thoroughly and took every right turns! The entrance was supposed to be right there! She let out a long exhausted sight before deciding to take a break to try and wake up for a moment. She slowly parked her car next to the road, keeping the lights on to warn other drivers in case they would stubble here. But she somehow felt like no one would come. No drivers were seen when she had approached the mountain. For each meter were made towards it, less people were seen, like if everybody was actively avoiding it. But it could be understood: she hadn't read any articles about the place due to the lack of time and planning she had to do for her trip, but she heard weird rumors that felt like straight out of a fairytale. Well, more like of a horror movie, but you get the idea.

Taking some deep breaths of the northern fresh air, she managed to get her brain out of the foggy state it was in. She looked around her for a bit, and managed to spot something through the dark decors.

Aemilia: Are you shitting me-

Right there, a dozen of meters away was an almost hidden sign next to a sneaky road that read: "WELCOME TO SILENT HILLS".

Aemilia: HOW THE FFFFFFUCK DID I MISS THAT-

She instantly went back to her car, as if she felt that the road would suddenly disappear from her grasps. She turned it on and went straight for the road.

It only took a few minutes until she managed to spot a village. Once closer, she could see the desolated and abandoned place in all of its details: signs were rotting and could only share 1 or maybe 2 letters. Buildings were crumbling in some parts, and no sign of life could be seen anywhere. Plants seemed to also grow savagely in every spot, almost reclaiming the place. She continued to drive nonetheless, finding the vibes "Kinda hot, and very, like, mysterious".

And so, she found a huge building, towering one side of the city, like a looming threat ready to destroy everything that would dare come close. Parking her car on the once spot supposed to kill this purpose, she gathered some of her stuff and made her way to the main entrance.
The huge door was towering her form, but it only made her eager to explore the building. Headphones on, Girl in Red playing, she made her way through the entrance.
