Chapter Two: Rihan Nura

In the middle of Tokyo, there lies the oldest mansion in a town of Ukiyoe. It is old Japanese style mansion. It had been there in a long time that every people live there didn't know when it build and because of that a rumour are flying everywhere like it is the mansion of yokai, that the people living there is a ghost and the most famous of them all are that the lord of yokai living in there but the people saw that there is someone living in there and they are human. Well even though that mansion are strange in every way it didn't change a fact that may be it is only an old mansion that the owners keep maintaining.

The owners of the mansion goes to a name Nura Rihyon and Nura Rihan. This father and son duo living there as long as the people remember and a neighbor to them and also help them if they needed but the people didn't wanted to impose because the father and son are strange.

One of the strange duo sitting in a branch of sakura tree gazing at horizon while lose in thought. Tonight there is a banquet and everyone is in merry way except for him. He's been like that because of that the crowd are started to gather around him without him knowing. An old man sitting in a household's porch staring at the man in the sakura tree. It has been a long time since that woman leaved the mansion,away from his son, Nura Rihan and away from them. After that Rihan become like that, lose in thought, aura full of sadness and regret and couldn't move on. Nura Rihan still live in a memories of his ex-wife.

Rihan has been engrossed in his memories that he failed to notice his father coming at him, climbing in the tree Nurarihyon smack his son in the head surprising him until he falls in the tree toward the pond. Because of the surprise and the water flash to his face, he is drawn out of his thoughts and swim his way to the shore while apologizing to a being living in the pond, kappa. He climb out of the pond and glare back at his father who jump out of the tree and walk toward him.

"Wake up Rihan, still in your thoughts are you? Are you still lose in thought that you didn't even sense my presence?" Nurarihyon said while nudging his son at the side of his body.

"Old man, I am awake you know! I know that you are beside me at that time, I just thought that you wouldn't do that." Rihan said.

"Oh really!?" Nurarihyon disbelieving said and lecture his son that a nurarihyon must never lower their guards down even though they are at home while the lecture still keep going Rihan started to go back inside the mansion ignoring his father ranting at the back because of that Nurarihyon pause his lecture while the others are started to scatter because the show is over leaving Nurarihyon alone at the backyard.

Nurarihyon knew what inside his son's mind and he knew that his son are remembering his ex-wife but his son must married now in order to sire an heir for Nura clan.

The banquet was full swing until midnight yokai are everywhere, the sake are keep passing from one hand to another. The drunk yokai are singing and dancing it is too loud inside the mansion. Rihan walk out of the mansion because he was stop by Kurotabou and Setsura but he assured them that he was going to stroll only and be back for awhile.

Rihan keep walking around Ukiyoe town reminiscing the changes around the town, towering building everywhere your eyes rest and people walking here and there. This town had been his home since Edo period and every human emperor who sit the throne it become more livelier. He loved this town and its inhabitants yokai and human alike.

While strolling around he come across the first district of Ukiyoe town  where part of Nura clan running a business, the Bakeneko clan. The Bakeneko clan had been their member since Edo period. The Nura clan had been protecting them. Their main business are restaurant and gambling for yokai who wanted to have fun. Rihan strode past the drunk human and yokai without them noticing and enter the establishment. He was welcome by the head of Bakeneko clan Ryota Neko who pass him without looking because of customers, its seems that business is busy as usual. Rihan didn't disturb the cat yokai and he keep lookin around for hit to sit but it seems that the establishment are crowded, there are no empty sits everywhere until he saw Aotabu and Kurotabou drinking together with cat yokai girls. He walk toward them and slap their back which earned him a yelp from the two.

The two look back at him with a surprise.

"Rihan-sama! What are you doing here?" The two said in unison after that they glare to each other.

"The two of you can come but I can't," Rihan said to them and sit across them.

"That's not we meant Rihan-sama! We just surprised that you are here?" Aotabu said while explaining and waving his hand fast.

"Yeah! We are just surprised that's all." Kurotabou agreed with his companion.

Rihan smiled to them and said," No need to explain I know and to answer your question I am walking around the town and the next I know I am already here."

He drank some Sake and together with his companions they started to talk about whatever they know until the two become drunk and he left them.

Rihan keep walking around the town drunk, his feet keep wobbling until he stumble he thought he would kiss the ground but the ground seem soft. He rubbing his lips left and right, it's so soft and the next thing he knew a stinging feeling his cheek and a heavy object smack his head that make him sound sleep.

Rihan wake with an headache because of hang over and stinging feeling in his cheek it seems that when he was drunk someone take advantage of his vulnerability. He walk out of his room to their dining room where his father and his friend Gyuki one of the elders of the clan. He greeted them and ask why his cheek hurting. They laughed at him and called Kubinashi. He is confuse why would his father called Kubinashi. Kubinashi appeared at the front door.

Nurarihyon ask Kubinashi "Kubinashi, Rihan wanted to asked why his cheek had been stinging?"

Kubinashi stared at his master with blank face and started explaining," Rihan-sama, when I was looking at you I found you at the top of a girl while kissing her-"

"H-hold on! What do you mean kissing a girl? I didn't remember it," Rihan interrupted Kubinashi explanation and denied it. Rihan started to explain that before he blank away he felt soft touching his lips but it doesn't mean that he's kissing a girl. While Rihan explaining he doesn't notice that Kubinashi lips keep twitching and irritation starting to form in his face. He doesn't know that black aura started to form in his right- hand man. Until-

"What do you mean you didn't kiss her? Did you know how frightened the young lady is? Do you know how much patience I wasted in order to calm that girl in order not to beat you up? Because of you many onlookers keep looking at us while you sleep in the ground peacefully and snoring," Kubinashi said while gritting his teeth and looking at Rihan with furious eyes. Every Kubinashi word keep replaying in the mind of Rihan and the look he give to Rihan make him smaller, smaller and smaller.

It seems that in that morning, everyone in the mansion hear aloud voice of Kubinashi chastising their beloved Second Head of Nura clan.
