Always Off Limits

It was late in the evening and we had all debated going home but honestly. We have never been invited to Aiden's so I don't think any of us were in a rush to leave
"Where is she?" Aiden asked his mother as he paced through the living room
"Aiden, will you relax man" Carter laughed. We knew he was protective but I don't think any of us knew how much

"she's at dance remember Aiden" His mum said looking up from her crossword 
"Since when?" he asked, his mother sighed looking up at the clock
"Since about 3 hours ago" She said feeding into his sarcasm 
Before anyone could say anything else a set of headlights pulled up, a few words were exchanged before the front door opened revealing Aspen 

She rolled her eyes looking at the state of her brother as she crossed her arms. She had a level headed amount of Sass on her
it was captivating 

"Evening Aiden" She smirked making him narrow his eyes
"Who dropped you home" He asked making her roll her eyes
"Hey mumma" Aspen said ignoring her brother and walking over to her mum sitting on the arm of the sofa still in her dance clothes

"Did Nathan drop you home?" Natalie asked making Aspen nod
"Yeah we spent the last two hours of practice working on our duet" She smiled. This was clearly something she enjoyed and was passionate about

"Who the hell is Nathan" Aiden asked making Aspen and Natalie share a look before turning back to Aiden
"He's the boy who's been dancing with your sister" Natalie said making Aspen smirk
"Excuse me" He said making Aspen laugh

Aspen smirked standing up and grabbing my arm dragging me up too
"Yeah we've been this close" She said pulling me in so close I could feel her breath
"You what!" Aiden yelled making everyone laugh
"A little of this" Aspen said turning and place her body directly against mine as my hand found it's way to her waist to support her

"And some of this" She said now turning around wrapping one arm around my neck
She looked up at me, her blue eyes hiding all of it's innocence with that small smirk on her lips. The moment her eyes locked with mine that smirk turned into a smile as she continued to keep her arm around my neck
She chuckled lightly bending backwards making the palm of my hand catch her slowly brining her back up

"Jacob" Aiden yelled making me snap out of the gaze I had with Aspen
"What?" I asked scratching the back of my neck
"Get your hands off my sister" He growled making me roll my eyes sitting back down

"Did you want me to let her fall?" I asked making him roll his eyes
Aspen chuckled grabbing her dance bag before heading out of the living room with a small bite to her lip

The next morning, we all meet at our usual spot awaiting Aiden to arrive and for the first time.. I'm pretty sure we'll notice Aspen a little more
Sure enough the Matthews got out of Aiden's car and headed straight this way while Aspen headed towards a group of girls just slightly in front of us

"What's uppp" Aiden greeted joining us
I kept looking over at where Aspen was. After last night, I don't know.. She hasn't really left my mind
She glanced over at me with those innocence blue eyes again biting her lip again before waving slightly but not enough for anyone to notice 
"So you guys can come over again tonight but Aspen has her dance friends over" Aiden said rolling her eyes

"Is that so you can murder that Nathan guy?" Carter teased making Aiden shrugg
"Whatever happens. Happens" he said before glancing over at his sister seeing that she was only surrounded by girls
