World Comes to an End

Chapter 10: Goodbye

We were walking til I stopped.

"No." I said. I turned around everywhere.

"How many of them?" Yoongi asked.

"Too many. I can't count them all."

"Maybe we can run." Cam said.

"We won't have time. They are caving in." I said looking around. I seen and opening to jump on a dumpster and climb up the balcony."

"Follow me." I said. They nodded. We ran to the dumpster. Cam hopped on and went up the ladder with the baby.

"Go. I'll hold them off and Cam will too." I said they nodded. I took my gun out and started shoot at them. I ran out of bullets and put my gun in the holster. I hopped on.

"Go first." Jin said.

"You go." I said. We argued but I gave up. I hoped up and got pulled up. I looked over and Jin hopped up. I went to help him along with Jungkook but his leg got grabbed and Jin cried out in pain. I felt the balcony loosen. I looked.

"Get on the roof now. I got him go!" I said. They hopped over and looked. I went to jump up after pushing Jin up but the balcony broke and I dropped down. I groaned. They looked at me.

"Fuck." I said. I looked around.

"I'll get up there. Don't worry about me!!" I yelled. They shook the dumpster.

"Stop!!" I yelled. They all listened. I jumped at a window ledge. I jumped across onto another balcony and zigzagged til I got up there. I looked and they were staring at Jin.

"No." I froze. They all looked at me. I went towards him with watery eyes.

"No you're not." I checked his wound and it was in fact a bite on his ankle.

"Why?" I asked.

"Eve-"

"WHY?!" I yelled at him.

"Why did you save me? I'm half zombie. I could have been safe. You wouldn't have gotten bit." I said shaking.

"Because I chose to. You haven't eaten enough to build your strength. So I sacrificed myself. I knew that one of us were gonna get stuck." He said crying.

"It's not your choice to make. It was my mission to get you to the base, safe. You do not have a choice to sacrifice yourself. You need to live for ARMYs. You can't let them down." I bawled my eyes out.

"It's too late!" He yelled back. He walked off and tied himself to a nearby pole. I clenched my fist. I fell to the ground.

"AHHHHHH!!!!!" I screamed with all my power. I went and punched the wall with full force. I kept hitting and hitting it until someone hugged me.

"Please calm down." Jungkook said. I fell to the ground shaking.

"I-i failed." I said looking at Jin. The boys were saying goodbye to him.

"It's okay. You got us this far." He held my face and forced me to look at him.

"I can't lose you guys. I love you guys. All of you." I said. His eyes widened.

"In a romantic way or ARMY way?" He asked.

"Both." I said looking at Jin.

"But I though you told us to get rid of our feelings."

"I know but this journey made me realized how important you guys are to me and how I felt." I said. He sighed.

"Go say goodbye. Tell him before it's too late." He said. I nodded. I got up and looked at the boys. They looked at me. I looked at Jin. I shed a tear walking towards him. He looked at me. I clenched my fist. I pulled him up off the ground.

"Eve, what are you-" I interrupted him and pulled him into a kiss. After a few seconds, I broke it. I looked down.

"What was that?" He asked.

"I love you and the boys. I'm afraid I'm too late." I said. He lifted my chin up.

"Please leave with the boys. I don't want you all to see me turn." I shed a few tears and nodded.

"I love you too." He backed away.

"Go you guys. Please live on for me." I walked towards the boys.

"I love you all. I purple you." I stopped. The boys started crying. I shook my head.

"We love you too hyung." Hoseok said.
