It was nostalgic, seeing all the familiar faces laughing and talking. Every once in a while someone saying "Hail and well met Max!" Or "Sup little shredder." A soft smile crept on the boy's face. Everyone was so familiar with one another. Nothing had really changed, of course, everyone was a bit older. And taller. But everyone felt when they were at Camp, they could be kids again. And embrace there adventurous, or quest searching hobbies. "Im just so happy to see you all! Since its out first day back id like you guys to adjust to everything! Maybe catch up with some old friends!" David suggested, everyone going quiet for a second, listening to him.
And what also was nostalgic, was how everything escalated so quickly. David was currently tied up, Gwen's hands tied with his as she kicked her legs in defeat. "YOU SHIT HEADS! Literally the first day are you kidding me?!" Teens laughed and talked. Some dancing on tables. Max on David's phone taking pictures of Gwen's pissed off expression. Nikki began to laugh. And suddenly, his gaze turned, seeing the girl sit on top of a vault her legs gently swinging off the sides, Neil pressing his ear to it and attempting to hear the clicks of the dial. Her laugh sounded like it did before, but Max doesn't remember it being so sweet, and somewhat gentle.
He watched as her pink eyes looked at Neil, watching as he smiled when he heard a click. Nikki's eyes sparkled as the box like vault door slowly opened. She clapped and let out a small "Hell yeah!" Jumping off the medium sized vault and standing behind Neil. "Max! Come get in on this!" She turned, waving Max over her way. Max snapped out of it, setting the phone in his pocket and walking over to them. "Check it, strawberry, chocolate, AND vanilla ice cream! Talk about equality!" She said getting on a knee and throwing the flavors to Max. A soft scoff came from him.
"Did you see that?" Gwen asked. "YES I DID SEE THAT. Nerris quit that!" David said. His eyes looking at a certain elf eared girl hitting Harrison with her sword mercilessly. "What- no- Max." Gwen said, nudging David a little. His eyes turned to her raising a eye brow. "What about him?" He asked, a slight tilt with his head. Causing Gwen to make a 'tch' sound. "He was totally staring at Nikki! I mean come on look at them." The two counselors looked at them. Nikki holding Max's arm and jumping up and down excitedly, while he was attempting to unpack the ice cream. But instead of his expression being annoyed, a soft smile and scoff came from him once he glanced to Nikki. Finally once the boy cracked it open he gave it to Nikki and picked a ice cream for himself.
"Huh.. Max never does me favors when i ask him to." David says looking at Gwen. "I see what you mean Gwen.." David's eyes sparkle. A sigh of relief comes from Gwen, finally relieved it clicked. "MAX IS NIKKI'S BEST FRIEND!" David says. Causing Gwen to groan. "Pipe down, trying to focus here." Max walked over to the tied up two. A annoyed expression until he finally opened the cap. "Crap it's almost night already..Max untie us." Gwen said, not wanting wolves to break in the mess hall any time soon. Though Max only scoffed. "What? No way. Im keeping this party going all night."
He proudly stated, taking a chomp of his ice cream with a sly smirk he always wore. "Max?" Suddenly Neil and Nikki walked over Max's expression softed and he looked at the two. Neil yawned, "You wanna wrap this up? Im getting tired." The boy scratched his eye. Max frowning and saying "Its only 11:30." He said. As if it wasn't already dark outside. "Come on Max just untie them." Nikki backed Neil up a soft nudge to the other boy. Reluctantly, Max untied the two rolling his eyes and mumbling.
"You guys will seriously be in for it." Gwen said pointing at the small crowd of kids. While David tried to ease the matter "Though we are upset, we respect that you are teenagers and need that rebellious outlet!" He said in a..angry tone? Though his words were anything but harsh. While the two consolers scolded the kids, Max felt a soft nudge. "Hey, if you cant sleep, wanna go to the dock?" She asked, her thumb and head gesturing to the direction of that blue lake. He thought for a moment, just the two of them? Alone? Talking? It..sort of sounded nice. "Yeah..sure."
