*General's POV*
I stood right outside her room looking through the window.
"Do you think she will ever recover, sir?" my second in command, Jack, asked.
"I don't give false hope." I responded, my eyes never leaving her bed.
"People who fought with her three years ago she was a legendary fighter. And look at her now, shes stuck in and endless sleep. She is nothing but a half dead corpse lying on her death bed. Makes you wonder why her brother still holds on to her when he could save the money for him and his wife." Jack snorted.
"You might not want to insult her like that if she is joining us"
"We don't need her help. We have your son."
I thought back to my son. He had short chocolate brown hair and grey eyes. Grey were rare for a reason unknown. He used to be a happy child, carefree, until his mother died. We both mourned for days without end. We fought a lot, but that only made our father son bond stronger.
To say my son was handsome was an understatement. More than half the female population flirts with him on a daily basis. In fact, they don't care if they flirt in front of me, HIS FATHER, for goodness sake's. It is disturbing. Once, two young women, maybe about five years younger than my son, asked for his hand in marriage. ABSURD. But no matter how much of a female magnet he is, I love him.
"My son may be exceptional at fighting, but it does not mean he knows everything. This girl, I believe knows something my son does not." I responded.
"Sir, the doctors have no idea if she will ever wake." Jack said. "Are we really going to stand by and wait for her to heal?"
"Yes"
