I remember jumping around my room screaming, I had just hit 1 million subscribers on YouTube. It just started off as small makeup tutorials and now a million people watch me. It's crazy to think that just a year ago it was something for bored Rachel to do and now it's like a full on job. I was going to playlist live that year and I couldn't wait to meet all of you it was my first meat up ever and it was at playlist live how good can it get.
But then it happened, that one lump meant cancer and cancer meant no playlist live no nothing. I was diagnosed with leukaemia two months before I was due to go. There was nothing to do in hospital, I was constantly bored. I wasn't allowed to go out with my friends and there where only allowed to come here for two hours a day. But most of all I couldn't make videos. So I decided to start a blog.I told all you guys what had happened and that I was not gonna make videos any time soon, and you were all so supportive, it's the first time I had been that happy for while.
The first night in the hospital was the worst, the nurses kept trying to comfort me but I couldn't stop thinking about if I was gonna die or not. One nurse was really nice though, she sat with me until I fell asleep and bought drinks when I wanted them, her name was Mia I'm pretty sure, she was young and had beautiful blond hair it's always tied back in a perfect messy bun. I wish still had my hair it started to fall out last week so I decided to shave the rest off so I didn't look patchy. I also have horrible skin at the moment it's dry and pale and i hate it, I hate everything if it wasn't for my subscribers support I probably would have killed myself.
It was the first day my friends were allowed to come for more than two hours, and it was probably the most fun I had had in ages. Me and my friend Phoebe had decide we would make a video to put up on my channel, I was kinda nervous to see all your guys reactions, I mean sure I can right about it on my blog but you guys would never had understood what I was going through unless I had showed you. And that is when my subscribers really went up after that one video I had gained 25,000 subscribers over night, I didn't even think that was possible. You were all super supportive and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
A few weeks after I had posted the video with me and Phoebe talking about my cancer I got an email from one of my favourite youtubers Annabelle beauty, she asked if I wanted to do a collab with her. I immediately called Phoebe to come over so we could plan the reply, we have watched this girl for years every word had to be perfect. Once Phoebe had arrived we sent our email and she pretty much replied straight away, she said she wanted to do it with me the next day. Me and Phoebe started to think up good collab ideas, that I could do without to much energy. We came up with some pretty crazy ideas like draw the hair on my head, I'm pretty sure Annabelle would not want to do that, but anyways it was exciting I finally had my first collab with a big youtuber.
