chapt. 1 The Handsome Stranger

Cadence's Pov.
"Imagine living like a king someday! A single night without a ghost in the walls. And if the base shakes the earth underground, we'll start a new revolution now!," my alarm screamed in my ear. I hit the snooze button and got up. "Time for another day in hell" I thought while putting my pajama shorts on. I walked to my dresser, pulled my school uniform out, and got dressed. After I did my business in the bathroom, I fixed my hair, and brushed my teeth, I put some eyeliner and mascara on with a little bit of lip gloss. I got my socks and shoes on and walked downstairs.

"Good morning," I heard my mom say while I made coffee. "Hey mom." My dad had been making breakfast while I was getting dressed and it was finally done. I made myself some coffee, put creamer and Splenda in it, and finally ate my breakfast. When I was done I checked the time on my phone. 7:30 Oh crap I'm gonna be late! "Bye mom! Bye dad!," I yelled while running out of the house. It may seem like I'm an only child but I'm not. I have 3 siblings that already graduated. My sister is 25 and is in medical school, my brother is 23 and lives in Texas with his wife, and my other brother went into the military right after he graduated.

I don't have any friends that live near me so I walk to school alone, which I'm fine with. It gives me time to think about my life. Sooner or later I got to school and walked to my locker. After I got what I needed, I walked to class and sat in the back. "I can't wait for this day to end," I thought. As I looked around the classroom I saw a cute boy that looked about my age with black hair and nails. He looked really cute. As if he knew I was looking at him, he turned around just as I decided that my desk was the most interesting thing in the world. Just then, the teacher walked in and told everyone to be quiet and get out their American history books.

-Le Time Skip To Lunch-

I sat down at a empty table and waited for my friends. As I waited, opened my lunchbox and started eating my sandwich. I heard my friend, Daniela's laugh and looked around. I spotted her and my other friends sitting at a table with the popular kids and poi ting at me with a smile on her face.

I looked down and felt tears prick my eyes. Just as they were about to fall I saw someone sit their stuff down beside me and looked up to see who it was. "Hi my name is Dameon. I think we had first hour together," the cute kid from this morning said. "We do, and my name's Cadence,"I said quietly. "Such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl," I heard Dameon say with a smirk. I blushed as a tear ran down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away hoping he didn't notice. "Why are you crying?", he asked with a frown as he wiped my tears with his thumb. "It's nothing," I said shyly. "Nothing my ass! What's wrong?," he asked again. I debated whether or not I could could trust him but soon decided I could. "My friends are sitting with the popular kids ahile.pointing andmlaughung at me," I said while looking down. He gently grabbed my chin and made me look up at him. "It'll be ok. I promise," he said and hugged me. I hugged him back and cried into his shirt.

The bell rang and he gave me his phone number and walked me to class. "Thanks," I said while hugging him again. "There's no need to thank me," he said with a smile. "Ok. By the way, are you the person that just moved in next to me?," he nodded and smirked. "Text me later," and with that my new best friend walked off to his class.

- After School-

I walked inside my house and laid on my bed. My parents won't be home until 6 and it's only 2:45. "What should I do?" I thought as I walked into the kitchen to get a snack. I grabbed some chips and sat on the couch in the living room. I took my phone out and opened instagram. I saw that someone followed me on there and it was Dameon. My heart skipped a beat as I followed him back without hesitation.

After that, I turned my phone off and watched some TV. I was almost done watching an episode of New Girl when I felt my butt vibrate. I took my phone out from under me, confused as to how it got there, and turned it on. It said that I had a notification on instagram so I opened it nervously. Once I saw that Dameon had texted me I smiled and read it.

Dameon- I wanna be a unicorn like Mikey Way!

Me- well then be a unicorn Dame

Dameon- Yay! I'm a freaking unicorn!

Me- lol have fun

After that, I went back to watching New Girl with a smile on my face.

After a couple of episodes, I heard my parents walk through the door and tell me to go change. "Why," I asked confused. "Our new neighbors are coming over for dinner and we have tk.make a good impression," my mom said in a strict tone. I ran upstairs and changed into my black jeans and band shirt. As I walked back downstairs, I heard voices and saw Andy Biersack and Juliet Simm talking to my mom. Dameon was standing behind them silently, not wanting to be noticed.

He saw me and smiled. My mom turned around and glared at me as we all walked to the kitchen to eat dinner. "This is my daughter Cadence, Cadence this is Mr. Biersack and Mrs. Juliet Simms," my mom said with a fake smile on her face. I shyly said hi and sat beside Dame. He grabbed my hand u delineate the table and smiled at me. I smiled back and squeezed his hand.

-After Dinner-

After dinner my parents told me to take Dameine up to my room while they talk. So I took him up to my room and we sat on my bed. "What days wanna do," I asked the black haired boy. He shrugged and smirked."I wanna try something, close your eyes." I did as he said and suddenly felt his soft lips on mine. His lip ring was cool against my lip and I loved it. It felt like electricity going through my body.

He broke away to breath and I kept my eyes closed, scared of what I might see. "Open your eyes Cadence," Dame said. I opened my eyes and looked down shyly. He gently lifted my chin and placed a soft kiss on my lips and I smiled. He pulled away and asked something I would never forget. "Will you be my girlfriend, Kitten?", he asked with hopenin his voice. " Of course Dame!," I said with a smile. He hugged me and kissed my forehead with a smile.

We were cuddling in my bed when we heard my parents call for us to come downstairs. We kissed and walked downstairs hand in hand.

"It was nice meeting you Andy and Juliet. You can come by anytime. You're always welcome," my mom said with that fake smile plastered across her face again. "Bye Dame, I'll see you later." "Bye Kitten," he whispered in my ear making me blush. As soon as they walked outside my mom started yelling at me. " I told you to wear something nice! But you just had to wear your stupid emo clothes didn't you? You'll never get a boyfriend." I ignored her and ran upstairs to my room. I changed into my Joker shirt and Batman shorts and got into bed. As soon as I laid down my phone buzzed saying that I got a message.

Dameon🖤- hey Kitten

Me- what's up?

Dameon🖤- can I spend the night with you?

Me- sure, my parents won't care

Dameon🖤- Ok be there in a minute

I laid in my bed and looked at the ceiling. "What did I get myself into?", I asked myself aloud. Suddenly, I heard a knock at my window and saw Dame. I opened it and he climbed in and laid on my bed. "Hey babygirl," Dame said with a smile on his face. He grabbed me by the waist and held me close to him, so I cuddled into his chest. We cuddled, watched movies, and kissed each other every now and then throughout the night.
