Now it's time for a bit of Y/N and Gwi-nam context

Gwi-nam used to your best friend from when you were 12 years old

He was a sweet person. Still had a little smug attitude, but he was like a brother to you

During the high school period, he just stopped talking to you altogether. Of course, you tried to talk to him, but he never even wanted to be seen with you anymore

And you never knew why

That's when you noticed his changed behaviour. He was swearing at everyone, mocking them, humiliating them, some occasions using violence on them. He was not the Gwi-nam you knew anymore

You still cared about him though, so you tried to accept it as just "boredom". But you still couldn't help but feel guilty. Like you were the reason he was like this. So you and him had a lot of unknown history

Now back to the story. After seeing Gwi-nam push a student off the roof, you were traumatized. You knew he had a tendency for violence, but you didn't suspect him of being capable of murder

So ever since then, you decided to not try to talk to him anymore. And you think Gwi-nam was noticing this. Because sometimes at lunch he would just stare at you. And sometimes when you pass each other in the halls, he would look at you, but you didn't look back at him and avoided his gaze. And even at the end of school when he was expecting you to annoyingly run up to him, you didn't

You didn't even want to look at his face anymore. All you could see was flashbacks to when he killed Jin-su whenever you saw him. You didn't want to admit it, but now...

He scares you...

It has been a while since the incident had happened, but you were still traumatized. So you weren't as "fine" as you were before the incident had happened. But all you could do was try to make it throughout the day without having a breakdown

You were running into school with your backpack, and stopped there out of breath. You looked back at the teacher who was counting down the seconds to when the students were going to be late. And when he said stop, you saw Cheong-san and On-Jo just make it on to the school grounds

On-jo: *pants* Hey Y/N!

Y/N: Hey guys. You made it just in time?

That's when you noticed that Cheong-san was wearing his bag and also On-Jo's bag. They had this thing where they played rock paper scissors, and the loser has to carry the winners bag along with theirs

Y/N: Huh. So I guess Cheong-san is the gopher again?

On-jo: You bet. He's too easy to beat

Cheong-san: Hey, that was just pure luck, I'll get the win tomorrow

On-Jo: Alright then. Just don't sulk when you lose again

Cheong-san: Anyway, see you Y/N!

Y/N: See ya!

Cheong-san and On-Jo then walked off and you waved to them. While waving someone came up behind you and grabbed your shoulders really quickly

Hyeon-Ju: Boo!

You flinch and step back a bit. Hyeon-ju enjoyed your fear as she laughed

Y/N: Hey! Don't do that! You're gonna give me a heart attack one day!
