Haunted Mind

At night, Lloyd was on the bed, facing the ceiling with his arm over his forehead. While Harumi was lying sideways the other side of the bed, putting Crystal to sleep.

What Lord Garmadon had said to him really haunted him all day.

"I'm her father,dad!She's my responsibility!" 

"But you weren't the one who raised her!I did!You know nothing about her!"

He kept thinking about it all day. Everyone asked what was in his mind, but he just told them that he was tired.

But he could not lie in front of his mother.

"I know something is wrong." Misako said.

"What are you talking about,mom?I'm fine." Lloyd lied.

"Lloyd,you know you can't lie when you're with me." Misako said.

Lloyd looked away.

"It's about your father,isn't it?" Misako asked.

"Sort of." Lloyd answered.

"What did he do this time?" Misako asked.

"Just talking about the wolf he got for Crystal." Lloyd lied.

"That's what got you this distant?" Misako asked.

"Well,.." Lloyd nervously started.

"You two talking about Crystal,didn't you?" Misako asked.

"Only about who was with her and wasn't with her all those years before we found her." Lloyd accidentally revealed.

He quickly covered his mouth and facepalmed of what he just did.

Lloyd sighed and turned to Crystal. Then he placed his hand on Crystal's forehead.

Harumi noticed the look on Lloyd's face.

"Lloyd,you've been having the same expression all day.Is there something wrong?" Harumi asked.

"It's nothing.I'm just tired." Lloyd lied.

"😑You've been saying the same thing all day.If you really were tired,you would be asleep before Crystal.She already has her eyes closed for 30 minutes,but you're still awake." Harumi said.

"I want to make sure she's safe while she sleeps." Lloyd said.

"You sure that's the case?" Harumi asked, feeling suspicious.

"What else would it be?" Lloyd asked.

"Lord Garmadon?" Harumi guessed.

"What about father?" Lloyd asked.

"Lloyd,stop trying to cover it up from me.Misako told me everything.Well,everything you told her at least." Harumi said.

Lloyd was silent and tried to look away. But he couldn't hide his face.

"You two got into an argument,didn't you?About Crystal?Who raised her and who was with her through out the years before we found her?" Harumi guessed.

Lloyd could only sigh and nodded.

"Lloyd,you know how he is.He just couldn't be quiet for even a second.So I suggest you just forget about it." Harumi said.

"Easy for you to say.I wasn't there while Crystal was growing up." Lloyd said.

"I wasn't there while Haru was growing up either.And that was when we split apart and when I was evil!But now it's different.We're both back together,we live together,we're with both our children.Everything is alright now." Harumi said.
