Gyutaro would be lying if he wasn't thinking about her the entire night, even when he was listening to the words his younger sister spoke of. That school was a hassle, everything was a pain in the ass and she didn't want to go to school anymore. But his mind was distracted, filled with the previous day's shock that trampled upon his soul.
Even if he didn't manage to get an ample amount of rest, he still had his duties to fulfil. Standing by the door of his younger sister's room, he stared at her as she continued to huddle beneath the covers, in an everlasting dream that he soon has to shatter apart.
Within minutes, screams were heard. The neighbours were used to it as whenever they looked out of their apartment, they would see Gyutaro dragging his younger sister who was hesitant in attending school and wanted to stay home.
But she has to. And he doesn't trust her enough to leave her alone in the house as well.
It was an everyday routine, he would wake up extra early just to prepare her breakfast and her bento box to bring to school. Get her to wake up, and it would usually end up with them being late for work and school.
He was used to it. Used to her sulking antics as she sat in the passenger seat of his car, arms crossed against her chest as she continued to mumble about how the school should just explode and not exist.
Eventually, she had no choice when he stopped the car right outside the school, watching as she got off hesitantly. But the way her attitude changed the moment she saw Nezuko and her other classmates, the smile appearing on her face as she turned to wave goodbye to her older brother.
"Hectic," he muttered to himself, forcing a smile on his face and waving goodbye to her. Shaking his head as he started to drive off as he needed to head to work. Just as he was about to speed down the road, he stopped and noticed the bakery.
"Hm..." looking towards the bento box he prepared for himself, and then back to the bakery. He looked around, ensuring he wasn't obstructing anybody just yet after doing some calculations in his mind that he wouldn't get into trouble if he ran in, throw some money and grab whatever the hell he wanted.
But he was terribly wrong.
The moment he entered the bakery, his mind was flooded. Not with thoughts of what he wanted, but with thoughts of what [name] wanted. The food at his workplace wasn't exactly delicious per se. It was often meddled with supplements and would taste bad as well.
That's what he remembered. But he had switched her meal out with his bento box's meal instead last night, which was why she didn't go through the disgusting phase of having to savour supplements after supplements.
There were too many to choose from, and with time ticking, it caused him to break out in a sweat as he easily grabbed hold of one of every item and brought it to the cashier who was rather surprised and quickly rang up his selections.
