It's a miracle what happens to a child when they have the right influence, not constantly nitpicked at what they do. Not shown and flaunted like a doll, told that they can't have a single flaw, no action of their own. Only told to follow strict ru...

Hopping out of the car, the raven-haired girl gently shut the door before looking up to the two-story house. Lights from the first floor shinned through the windows lighting up the front yard. It seemed like a well-kept house from what she could see, much like the rest of the houses surrounding this one.
With a small hum, Nemi hugs her koala stuffy Casey before reaching for her bag and pulling it over her shoulder. Pushing forward, she walked around the car to Phil who stood patiently by the front of the car.
"Are you ready?" Phil asked with a small smile, his voice wavered a bit but still seemed to keep calm.
He was nervous, as was she, after giving him a nod they both made their way to the front door. Nemi stayed a few steps behind Phil, stomach twisting and turning with each small step. She soon started to take small deep breaths trying to keep down the uprising feeling.
As they made it to the porch, they could hear murmurs from behind the door. But it was brushed aside when Phil turned around to look down at Nemi still with a small smile.
"Seeing as we can already hear them means there will be quite a commotion once the door opens," Phil started as he moved a hand to his pant pocket pulling out his keys.
"So, be prepared to have questions shouted and a lot of craziness," he warned still looking at Nemi with soft but worried eyes.
Nemi gave a small hesitant nod making sure to make a mental note of how rowdy it may be, as everyone has warned. She needs to stay calm, keep to herself, and be prepared for anything.
"You are free to hide behind me or keep to yourself till you're comfortable, I'll try to keep them as quiet as possible," Phil finished as he shuffled to the door and got ready to unlock it.
As his keys jingle moving to the door Nemi noticed three little charms dangle together. One was a brown guitar, another was a crown with red, green, and blue decorative gems. The last charm was a raccoon head, Nemi hummed quietly finding each charm oddly cute. Looking away from the charms, Nemi tilted her gaze to the side now noticing that the murmurs from inside the house had stopped or had gotten quieter.
"Alright, ready? Nemi?" Phil asked drawing and gaining Nemi's attention back to him, oh right.
Nodding, Phil smiled before turning around and opening the door, slowly shuffling behind him Nemi waited till the door was fully open.
