1|. What is your Real Name and Age? (Only if you are comfortable ) < My name is Tasmiya and I am 17 years old.
2. How did you discover Wattpad? < I randomly found it on Play Store I loved reading books so I gave it try. I have been on Wattpad for a long time now. I think approximately two years.
3. When did you start writing publicly? < In 2019 on a different platform. I started writing a book called Arranged to my mate. It was my first ever book and honestly now when I go back and read it. It feels weird and funny 😅😂. I think we can't help it as the first draft or book always turns out weird. But if I get time I want to rewrite it and publish it on Wattpad. Inshallah.After that i found Wattpad and after a year i began writing and experimenting with the writing tools just for fun. The last year i got serious about writing and deleted my old books. I started my journey with 'Takdeer-fate'.
4. Does anyone from your family or close ones know that you write? < Just my sister knows I write and even she is a writer on Wattpad. She helps me a lot and she is the first reader of drafts.
5. Where do you get the inspiration to write from? < The next scene of my books excites me a lot. I am very irregular in giving chapter updates but even if I can't write it down, I keep thinking about it the whole time. I think about my story every day and I keep imagining about my characters. I revise my story every day 😂😂 in my head. Apart from this, podcasts and writing videos motivate me. Lastly, Shamna bint ashraf is a great inspiration. The way she is passionate and consistent about writing is so inspiring.
6. What makes you happy? < Putting into words a scene that's been running in my head the whole day. To see people responding and writing comments on your chapters, that you have worked hard on. Hand lettering, writing, and creating suspense and cliffhanger. And to make my readers wait😂😂😂just kidding.
7. One childhood memory you adore the most? < I have tons of them 😂 I'm the youngest one in my family and I have two elder siblings, brother, and sister.. One day when we were playing pillow fight. We imagined ourselves as some warriors 🤣🤣🤣 and my brother threw a huge pillow towards me with all his might. But I moved away and it hit a mirror behind me.😂😂😂 The mirror was broken into pieces 😂 and after that, we never played that game again. By the way, our parents never got to know that we did the crime😎😎 we hid it really well. The secret is buried in our hearts 😂😂😂.
8. What are some issues you face while writing? < I struggle with grammar and I keep repeating the same words. And I loose my interest in reading easily and I am very picky with books. I don't have a proper writing schedule and I am Very irregular at my updates.
9. Advice for some new aspiring writers. <Im just a beginner so these are some that I've learned from others-
1. It's fine even if your first draft sucks. A messy one is better than nothing.
2. It's okay to have fewer reads, votes and no comments. Remember famous writers started with nothing too.
3. Be consistent and enjoy the process. "The process makes the writer not a finished book".
Books aren't written they are rewritten. this is what I have learned so far and I am sure the journey ahead has a lot to teach so we should keep going.
10. If you could do one thing for the world what would it be? < I would want to teach people the true meaning of Islam. It is more than just rules and obligations and Islam is much more beautiful and peaceful, It is the way of life. And if people could understand this and implement the teachings of our prophet (saw), then the world will be a better place to live.
11. Describe yourself in three words. < Ambitious, messy, and talented.
12. Who is your celebrity crush? < Lee do Hyun.
13. Which is your favorite trope? < I love reading books with villains being the main lead. I'm sure i can never hate a handsome villain.
14. What are the top three things on your bucket list? < 1. To visit a Library. 2. To buy books 3. To buy an iPad
15. Some words for your readers. < I'm really thankful that you choose to read my books. Thank you for every read, vote, and comment they mean the World to me. I'm too shy to reply your lovely comments but believe me, they make me smile. I'm sorry for the irregular updates and thank you for not losing hope in me. Thank you for motivating me and I love guys. I'm happy that my books mean something to you.
