My name is Lucy Willows, I am 18 years old, I just recently graduated high-school, and I couldn't be more grateful.

For one, my whole family is here, my grandpop and granny, my Auntie Shelly and Uncle Justin and there children, my  Auntie Victoria and Uncle Brad, my parents of course, and my younger brother Calvin.

We are the Willows, we go to church and play sports, we host parties and collect antiques, we fish alot and cherish our hunting dogs, and we are always happy. People love us, are we perfect? Well that's up too you to decide.

At the moment my family and I just finished dinner, the women (including me.) Are doing dishes, the men are talking and watching football, and the children are playing while the dogs nap, after dinner we do our annual card game Gin Rummy (something I usually win at), and tonight I had good feeling I was going to dominate my family once again.

"Ready to kick our butts at Rummy again  grad-daughter." My Grandpop said giving me a pat on the back laughing at his little pun, did I mention today was the day I graduated? In my family it's almost as important as your wedding day.

"Born ready." I said laughing.

"Of course you are." He said chuckling, messing up my brown hair that once was neat. We all are brunettes, that's another thing we admire, our naturally brown hair and brown eyes.

"Okay who wants to play cards?" My granny said wiping her hands on her apron. Everyone shouted 'Me!' And everyone worked there way to the table.

Once we were all sitting, I began shuffling and dealing, and not long after our game began.

"Well bull." My Grandpop said throughing the pen and paper down. "She did it again."

Everyone at the table began booing and shouting 'not fair' or 'rematch' I just sat there beaming. "Good game guys." I said scooping up the cards and placing them in the box, the kids all scurried off to go play, and some of the adults congratulated me, and soon it was time for bed.

"Good night Lucy." My mother said squeezing me, my granny was busy getting the kids to settle down so in the mean time I gave everybody hugs goodnight. Everybody congratulated me on winning cards and graduating, and then I crawled into Calvins bed, we had to share a room since there were so many people here. Not long after, the lights went out and the house was quiet except my dad's snoring. And finally I drifted off to sleep

I woke up, my phone alarm went off, it was 7:00 am, except my brother was gone, did he wake up early? Must have, except I couldn't here the news from downstairs, or talking, or the smell of bacon, then it hit me, my family were outside on the deck, letting me sleep in for a change, the dogs would be out there too. I put on my slippers, put my hair in a bun and headed down the stairs.

No breakfast on the counter. Did I miss it? Or were they waiting for me to help make it? I went onto the deck, it seemed eerily quiet, for outside, no birds singing. Why? My dogs weren't there. My family wasn't there. Did they go somewhere without me? They would have told me or left me a note. Or a text.

I scurried back inside and grabbed my phone, no messages, I went to my mom's contact and pushed call. Nobody picked up. I went to the house phone and dialed her number, no answer. I tried everyone, my dad, uncles, aunts, every body. This was weird. Did something happen?? I turned on the TV, the news wasn't there, it said 'channel not available.' Okay now I was starting to panic, I tried calling my friends, they didn't pick up either. I searched the whole house. Nobody, I went over to my neighbors, Nobody was there. Now I knew it was probably unnecessary but I dialed 9-11, just because I was worried.

Nobody answered.

By the looks of it, I was all alone.

No Lucy,  I told myself, your family will be back soon.

I pinched myself, praying to wake up, nothing happened.

Lucy, I thought to myself, your all alone.
