"Melanie, wake up! You can't sleep all day!" A voice rang through out the apartment, as the only thing that kept me warm, and away from the outside world was pulled away from my soon to be freezing body.

"Uhggmmnfbdhz noooo" was all I could mutter out before trying to grab my safety line back to me. However, the voice rang again, but for help this time. "Mmgh wait.. Immhfs nooo.. I dun wanma get up yet.." I added to my sleepy state of mumbled slurs.

"Get out of bed!" A males voice boomed. OK, boomed is an understatement. Puberty is hitting this voice hard so, cracked? Commanded? Yeah, commanded. Anyways, when I heard that voice I sat up, my hair as wild as a lions mane. A slip of dry drool still stuck on my tan face.

"Finally" the tiny voice rang. "Melanie, I'm going over a friends house... Colin is too.. Your home alone, I guess" I assume my little sister said. My eyes, still adjusting to the light, couldn't tell the figures apart. But I heard the male voice agree.
"Yeah.. I'll be back around 7" I now know to be my 14 year old brother had said. I nodded and yawned.
"Yeaahh.. OK... Whatever..." I muttered, moving my arms to the air, stretching them. I didn't care what went on, just as long as I wasn't bothered. I blinked at least 50 times before my eyes adjusted to the morning light. I looked down at my legs, which were bairly covered by hello kitty pj shorts. A black tank top graced my torso. I stood up and went to the kitchen so I could take my medicen.
Epilepsy.... Depression.... Anxiety... All the meds I took for all the reasons. I heard the door open and laughs as well as the common 'later' and 'see ya, scrub' yep.. They left. I'm alone now. Finally... I strutted my way to the couch and layed back down, letting my cat crawl on my stomach. The news was on from when my mother was still here before she left for work. I grabbed my phone and began to text my friends to see if any wanted to hang out... Sadly, all were busy, so.. I lay alone.
