When it comes to his relationship with Karma, Nagisa thinks he'll never get used to waking up next to him. When he's super groggy at least, it takes him a second to remember where exactly he is. Not that it's ever an alarming sensation, in fact Nagisa's in tune with the fact that he's safe like this. And once he does figure out where he is... he relaxes even more.

Karma groans in displeasure beside him, curling up like he hates the idea of daytime. For a moment, Nagisa's content to not do anything either. Maybe because his head's still tuning in, but there's not much exactly to say. It's fine like this, anyway. Just being in Karma's presence is becoming even more comfortable for him recently.

Until Karma tugs him towards him, clearly aiming for his lips.

Nagisa tuns his face away, because as nice as kissing Karma is, morning breath is kind of a mood killer. Not that a cheek kiss is bad by any means. Maybe he even likes it more. Besides, Nagisa's not really in the mood for anything too far.

"Hey, Nagisa," Karma says, his voice a little heavy.

"Mm?"

Karma sighs. "Why don't you just get a toothbrush?"

"Wha?"

He looks a little amused. "I just don't want your teeth to fall out, just 'cos you're here a lot."

Nagisa feels the embarrassment rise up within him. It really hasn't been great, has it? Nagisa is usually pretty consistent with his dental hygiene! There are a lot of anxieties to overcome, of course, but he can push those aside. He doesn't want Karma to think he's purposely being gross about his teeth! He couldn't... no, he doesn't even want to think about it.

So he leaps almost instantly out of bed. "I-I'll go right now!"

Karma sits up, yawning easily. "Right now?"

"Yep!" He pulls on his clothes like the building's about to burn down. "I'll be right back!"

With a heavy sigh, Karma just collapses back, slamming his torso against the mattress. "Take the key, then."

Perhaps he should consider it some kind of honourable responsibility. It's a trust exercise, in a way, that he can take the key to Karma's home. And given everything else, as Nagisa scurries his way out of the door and into the fresh air, it would be easy for him to read a lot more into this. The thing is, he at least knows Karma well enough to know that, in fact, this is nothing more than him just being too lazy to get up and let him back in again.

So, that's how Nagisa finds himself in the convenience store bright and early in the morning, buying the first toothbrush he lays his eyes upon, along with a fresh tube of toothpaste because somehow that seems like a courtesy. Once he's grabbed it, though, he starts to think. Maybe he should get something else? He does kind of feel like he's leeching, at least a tiny bit.

What would Karma like, though? He's made his thoughts on ready made food quite clear already.

Maybe Nagisa could make him breakfast? He's not sure how Karma would feel about that, it is his kitchen after all. Then again, he seemed to like it when he made miso soup? As long as he buys his own ingredients, maybe it won't be too bad... He can probably get everything he needs just in the fridge section, at least.

Of course, he won't do anything too complicated. It's not like he needs to prove something by grilling a whole fish or anything. So eggs it is. Along with a basic side salad... this will do just fine, or at least he thinks to himself. Does Karma like natto? He's never actually seen him eat it... Maybe Nagisa needs to figure out more about his food tastes.
