You made your way into Fennel, dreading your night shift more than ever, "Earbuds out (Lastname)!" Your night manager called out, wiping his hands on his apron, "Oi!" He clapped his hands in your face, "They're out Stephen!" You wound the wire around your phone, shoving it into your bag. You pulled out your apron, tightly tying around your waist and clipping on your name badge. "Table seven needs you" Amy quickly ran past you with empty trays, as you grabbed a jug and few cups, quickly heading over to the crowded table.
"Hello welcome to Fennel- holy shit you're peacemaker" you laughed, looking up from your note pad at the ridiculous looking man, "Yes, yes I am. You want an autograph?" He seemed pleased with himself, "No, no not really, any ways what can I get you all?" You pursed your lips, earning a laugh from the blonde woman seated with him.
Unhappily you took the tables large order and recited it to the chefs, who were also pissed off with the amount of work they had to do for one table, "(Name)!" A quiet shout came from behind you, "Adrian" you laughed back, swiftly turning around to see your co worker, "Peacemakers there" he smiled stupidly,
"Yeah, I had to take his order" you grimaced, looking over at the table, "Gross" you murmured as he stuffed his face, "Well, (Name)." Adrian started anxiously, "yknow how neither of us work Saturday night, and they're showing pet cemetery one and two that night at ten?" He awkwardly shifted his eyes around behind his large glasses,
"Yes, and they are?" You laughed, grabbing dirty cups off the table next to the both of you, "Yep, yes, yeah. We should go see the show, movies" he nodded, not making any sense at all, "I'd love that" you smiled goofily, biting your tongue gently and looking down at your feet, "Great, great I'll see you then at like ten" he placed his hands on his hips and walked backwards out the back, past the dumpsters, you smiled at yourself and untied your apron, excited to make your way home, god that eight hours felt like it would never end.
