It was an average day, or as avenge as a day can be when you're a supernatural creature. Life for Noah was as close to normal as it could be when you're a vampire. He was paler than the average human, had pointer teeth, oh and he needed blood to live. Lucky for him the sunlight thing wasn't completely true, all he needed was an enchanted object like a ring or a necklace and he could walk in the sun. It wasn't easy to come by but when you attend a school that was meant for supernatural people then it was easy. Noah attended a boarding school meant for people like him, not just vampires but everything you could think of. He attended this school with all of his siblings.
"Parker I just don't get why we don't share a dorm," Noah says to his brother.
"Dude you know that they go 'species'," Parker says. Noah was going to reply to his brother but the bell interrupted him.
"Have fun in class," Parker says and walks in the other direction.
"I hate this school why can't I go to public school" Noah muttered to himself and made his way to history
"Hey Noah," A girl with long brown hair said with a flirty tone. He rolls his eyes and sits in his usual spot.
"Class, meet Evan, he's new to the school," The history teacher says, gesturing to the boy standing next to her in a light pink hoodie. He makes an awkward smile and sits down next to Noah.
Noah's face got hot. It was nothing new. A cute guy sitting next to him will make him nervous. Noah had his sexually figured out ever since middle school when they started using change rooms. Has he ever told anyone? Once in his first relationship with a girl named Cassie. He had somehow convinced himself he could be straight. It didn't work and after a month of them dating he told her and to this day she's the only one who knows.
"I'm Evan" The new kid introduced himself
"I'm Noah," Noah said and gave the boy a toothy smile.
The class was done and everyone rushed out as fast as they could. The school was huge and it took a good five minutes to get to the third floor.
"You look lost," Noah said to Evan as he look at his schedule
"Yeah I have math next do you know where it is," Evan asks
"Yeah follow me," Noah said and the boys walked to the math hall.
The boys had very similar schedules in fact they shared all the same classes.
"Dude we have the same classes," Noah says and Evan smiles
"Nice" The other boy responds
The day went on normal for Noah, Evan on the other hand was getting creeped out by everyone, some were dressed weirdly, he saw several people wearing wings. Evan was finally ready to find his dorm and end the day.
"Dorm 143," He said out loud
"Wait this is your dorm," Noah says and Evan jumps
"Sorry didn't mean to scare you" He apologies
"It's okay and yeah it is," Evan says
"I was wondering when I would get a roommate," Noah says with a smile as he opens the door.
The dorm wasn't huge but it had two beds and a bathroom, beside each bed was a nightstand. The bed closer to the bathroom looked like it had been slept in. The other bed was fresh and had bags next to it.
"So..." Noah says as he sits on his bed
"This school is weird," Evan says
"What do you mean?" The blond boy asks
"I mean the people like they dress weird" Evan explains
"You probably just saw the fairies, they really like their culture," Noah tells the other boy
"The fairies?" He asked
"Yeah..." Noah says. Both boys were confused
"I am so confused" Evan admits
"You know like they like to be in touch with their roots" Noah tried to explain
"What do you mean by fairies though," Evan asks
"Like the fairy folks just like all the other species at the school," Noah tells him and Evan just looks even more confused
"Hold up is this a joke," Evan asks
"Dude I'm assuming you're a vampire seeing's as we share a dorm but you do know there are other species right?" Noah says
"Haha very funny" Evan tries to play it like he doesn't think his only friend at this school and roommate isn't crazy
"Oh you don't know," Noah says in shock
"DON'T KNOW WHAT" Evan yells
"Why did you transfer to this school?" Noah asks
"Because my parents thought it would be better for my anger" he admits
"Oh you should sit down for this" Noah tells him and he sits on his bed
"So this school is for supernatural people," Noah says and Evan's face looks like he's seen a ghost
"Pretty much anything you could think of is real, I'm a vampire and I'm guessing you're not because you would know so I suggest you call your parents," Noah says and
"I- you- WHAT" is all Evan can manage to say
"You should call your parents. I'll be anywhere but here" Noah says and he walks into the bathroom.
"Mom I don't understand," Evan says
"Well sweetie when that car crash happened you activate your werewolf curse and we thought it would be better if you went to a school meant for people like you," His mother said
"People like me? You mean monsters" Evan cries
"Evan please don't be mad at us we just didn't want to hurt you" His mother tries to calm him down
"Are you and dad like me?" Evan asks
"Your father is but he never killed someone so he never activated his curse" his mother admits
"I killed someone" Evan uttered
"Evan we were going to tell you all of this we swear it's just hard to" His mother tried to calm her son down but was failing.
"No, I don't want to hear your excuses you were just gonna let me figure this out on my own because 'it's too hard for you'" Evan yells with tears rolling down his cheeks
Noah heard everything vampire hearing sometimes got the better of him and he felt guilty. He opened the bathroom door and put a hand on Evan's shoulder for comfort.
"I don't want to talk" Evan mumbled and Noah nodded.
