Chapter 3

Cay brought a lot of stuff back from China,including an old vintage painting of the landscape of an Ancient Chinese city.She refused to tell me the price though,and I'm not sure my heart is ready to take it either,because she bought it at an illegal auction market.Those things can be PRETTY EXPENSIVE!!!!!

"You're lucky you got out of there in one piece.Im sure some crime boss would have desired the painting as well,and eliminating an insignificant tsetse fly like you to get it would have been easy"i told her.

"Ok first of all,I'm not an insignificant tsetse fly,you tap mouth.Second,I'm not that reckless.i hired five bodyguards,experienced martial arts st that,so I was highly untouchable"she replied with a smirk.

"So what other illegal things did you do in China?"I asked.

"I went to a cockfighting ring once.There's a lot more,I'll remember them soon"she replied

"Ooooooh!!"she suddenly remembered something.
"Well it's not illegal, but I went to a casino thrice".

My eyes widened.

"Does Mom know one of her kids is now a renowned gambler?"

"Chill out,silly.She doesn't have to know,and you're not gonna be a snitch either"

"What makes you think I won't be?"

"I'm officially bribing you"she replied.
"What do you mean?"

Just then,my phone  bleeped.
I checked my inbox to find that she had sent me 5,000 dollars! My phone almost fell off my hands.

"Is bank robbery among the illegal things you did in China? Where did you get all this money?"

"We're rich remember? This is no big deal.....And besides, why do you think I went to the casino thrice? The first time,I lost all the money I went in with.The next time,I discovered that most of them weren't playing fair,so I just put more money into controlling everything that happens on the table more than they ever could.The last time I went,I left with thrice the amount I came in with"she replied.

"You said it wasn't illegal.Sure that's legally allowed,you law-breaker.Besides,how did you know they were pulling strings after going there just twice?"

"I used to frequent casinos when I went to Las Vegas last year.I know stuff".

"God,you really are a renowned gambler!!"

I was so shocked at that moment that I knew close to nothing about this sister of mine.God knows what else she did there.

"You're thinking something crazy again, aren't you?"she asked.
"How did you know?"
"You're doing that thing where you stare into space like a dead rat"
"Well,I'm just surprised, please"i  defended.
"Just enjoy the five grand.its probably the last you'll ever get from me"
"In that case,I'll enjoy it wisely"

I dont really think I spent the money wisely though.I used a thousand dollars to renew my wardrobe.You can imagine the amount of clothes and shoes I got with a thousand dollars! Of course,I also got some of them at a thrift shop.Mom hates when I buy second hand stuff,but I can't help it.
Some of them are just so enticing.
I also ate out with Nathan at this really expensive restaurant, and everything cost 800 dollars.I think it was the champagne that got us to that amount.
Then I donated a thousand to charity.
I'm not that benevolent,so the fact that I gave out that much still makes me roll in bed.

I was thinking of buying the new Playstation 5 with the remaining money,but Mom alredy had that covered.
She said if I could do my own laundry for a week straight,she might get me one, and I've been doing that,so I'm expecting it anytime soon.

Yes,I'm an 18-year-old who finds it hard to do his own laundry.
