Izuku POV:

Not all men are created equal. I learned that at a young age. Being a quote unquote 'Late Bloomer' and all.

Not getting my Quirks until almost the end of my middle school years. It sucked. My preschool best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, was never really as nice after he got his.

After Katsuki got his Quirk, he would be rude to me. When I got mine, he was shocked.

I was used to being outcast from activities, but when my Quirks manifested in late junior high, I was urged by all the teachers to join.

I barely knew what they were, let alone how to control them. One was just like my mother's, partical manipulation. The other was of an unknown origin, I called it Smoke.

With my two Quirks, it was no wonder how popular I got. But I no longer want to be a 'Hero'.

They all said the same thing. "You should be a Hero, Midoriya- Kun!" But they were all dumbasses.

I believed them at first, that was, until I met a girl named Himiko Toga when walking home one day.

She's around my age, and her Quirk was deemed 'Villainous.' being a blood- based Quirk and all. She saved me from a villain whose body was made mostly of sludge under a bridge.

"Th- thank you." I mumbled that day, out of breath from the villain. She just smiled and helped me up.

"Of course. Name's Himiko Toga!" I took her hand and she pulled me up.

"Nice to meet you." She smiled shyly.

She looked nervous, like she wanted to say something. "What's your Quirk?" She asked me. "Mine's considered a 'Villainous' Quirk." She looked down at her dirty school uniform.

I looked at her face and smiled kindly. "My Quirks are Particle Manipulation and Smoke." I explained what they each did, and she listened carefully. Partway through, I noticed her eyes were full of tears.

She looked up at me. "Mine's based on blood." She whimpered. I looked at her face. "I'll never be a Hero." She cried.

I smiled a kind and inviting smile. "Then let's be villains together." I proclaimed. She smiled at me, and I hugged her.

She explained her Quirk and I walked with her, side by side, until she stopped in front of me. She turned to face me. "Promise me you won't leave, and we'll meet under that tunnel tomorrow?" She was smiling, but her eyes were wet.

"Of course, Himiko- San." I told her.

She smiled and walked off.

We went our separate ways. When I got home, it was almost sunset.

Over the rest of the year, Toga- San and I met some more people. We met a boy also around our age, with split hair, half red, half white. He had two Quirks as well, but only used one.

He was a quiet person, never opposed to soing something. When he finally told us of his family, all three of us were crying for so long after. When we first told him of his plan, he was hesitant. But after asking to get back to us, he agreed. The next day, the last day of school, we all went back to my house to prepare.
