Hi guys, first off sorry for just basically leaving. I fell off my writing for a while but I'm back. For now I'm discontinuing the Sunflower and Trashtalk, may pick them back up eventually though
Enjoy this story friends

"STEVIE WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!" was the first thing I heard as the covers were ripped off my body

"Jesus what the fuck Les??!"

"We have to be at work in 10 minutes. GET. UP." He said throwing my hairbrush at me "LETS GO"

"IM UP" I yelled throwing it back at him as he closed my door

I quickly threw on my ugly work uniform and put some spare clothes in my book bag before heading out the door as fast as I could

It takes Les and I about 15 minutes to get to work on our skates, so it's safe to say we're screwed

Getting there 10 minutes late, we saw our boss Miss D standing where we were supposed to be standing..

"See! This is what I get for letting you two work here! I told your mother I didn't want one of you but to end up with both is giving me wrinkles" She said rubbing her forehead

"Miss D you sound just like mom, no wonder you two are such good friends" Les said

She rolled her eyes "Get to work you two. And if I catch you guys shooting staples at each other again, you're done."

"Yes ma'am!" Les said saluting Miss D

"Next time it'll be rubber bands" I smiled

She popped her gum and sighed heavily before leaving the ticket booth

"We both know that's not true" I said turning to Les "She loves us too much"

He nodded "I'd never give her my chocolate pie at Sunday night dinner again"

"Agreed"

We work at a crappy movie theater in the mall. They thought it'd be a huge hit, but it really isn't at all. Les and I spend hours just sitting there without selling a single ticket

"We need a better job Stevie" He said clicking a pen

"No" I said snatching the pen from him "Miss D is the only person who takes our constant messing around and being late without firing us. Besides, no one in the town would hire two Avermans at the same place"

"Who said we had to work together?" He said with a smirk "Would you miss me too much" He cooed

"Yeah must be the twin connection" A voice from outside the box said, wiggling their fingers like he was draco from harry potter. It was the one and only Jesse Hall

"Ah Jesse, Charlie! So nice of you to visit us on this long, boring shift" I smiled sitting my head in my hand

"Well actually we aren't here to visit you, but recruit you! Duty is callin" Charlie smirked holding up the duck caller

Les and I smirked to each other before hoping out of the ticket box and go change. On our way out Miss D yelled "AVERMANS GET YOUR ASSES BACK HERE NOW YOUR SHIFT ISNT OVER YET"

"Sorry Miss D! Duty calls! If it makes it any better we haven't sold a single ticket all day so you probably don't need us anyway! Love you lots!" I waved skating away quickly after the boys

I do feel bad for leaving her, but I haven't played hockey the ENTIRE off season! I was so happy to at least be back skating with them. Skating around with my teammates, wind blowing in my hair with the warm sun on my freckled skin was something I missed. We all haven't been together in a while, so skating around and gathering everyone was fun

"CONNIE MOREAU!!!" I yelled at the sight of my beautiful brunette best friend

"STEVIE AVERMAN!!!" She yelled back, skating full speed into me and knocking us both to the ground

"Ouch you crazy bitch" I laughed standing up from the concrete

"Stevie I haven't seen you all summer!! What have you been hiding?!!"

"Yeah from you" I laughed

She rolled her eyes "I was going to compliment your shorts but never mind"

"You know they make my legs look great" I said running my hand down them

"Yeah they do!" Goldberg yelled

"Enough about your legs Stevie" Les said

"Lester shut up you're just mad I'm 5'7 and you're 5'6"

"I'm just a late bloomer!"

"Yeah clearly"

"Yeah" Goldberg laughed "Stevie's mustache is darker than yours!"

We both turned to him slowly, glaring harshly

"Alright that's enough from my mouth for the moment, back to arguing you two" He waved off awkwardly

I rolled my eyes starting to skate away. I was offended, but I have to admit it was pretty funny

We kept going and had gotten everyone before meeting back where coach had been waiting for us. We cheered, laughing and skating in circles. Everyone was happy as can be

A huge black limo pulled up to the curb and a man that resembled a chipmunk popped out of the sunroof "Hey guys! I'm Don Tibbles, Hendrix hockey apparel.." And blah blah blah boring stuff

Eventually we all ran towards the limo and entered the middle section of it. It was filled with chocolates and candies of all kinds. Some even hockey themed, like the hockey puck chocolate covered oreos

Goldberg had a couple of white chocolate pretzels in his hand munching on the happily

"Man take all the white chocolate why don't ya!" Connie complained

"Who cares, white chocolate is disgusting anyway" Guy said making a disgusted face

"Oh and what do you like? Dark chocolate??!" Connie said back

"YEAH!" Guy said waving his dark chocolate around

"Ew!" Goldberg said "White chocolate only"

"Goldberg that may have been the smartest thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth" Connie smiled grabbing a pretzel from his hand

"Thanks" He smiled

The airheads are my favorite, not that I eat too much candy anyway. But airheads.. I could eat the literal shit outta those

When the limo came to a stop, we all hopped out standing in front of a tall white building

"You guys ready to meet your new teammates?" Mr. Tibbles asked

"New teammates?" Fulton asked with furrowed brows

"Of course! You guys can't be on the only ones on team USA"

Most of the guys groaned as I turned to Connie "Maybe there will be some cute guys"

"Hopefully, I'm getting tired of looking at Guy" She said jokingly, loud enough for Guy to hear

"HEY!" He said with his hands up

"I'm kidding" She smiled kissing his cheek

"Okay enough sharing cooties, lets go meet these new teammates" Les said pushing us forward
