"What's wrong, love?", came Matt's gentle voice, husky from sleep.
"I can't sleep," I mumbled.
Matt shifted to face me, his unfocused eyes filled with concern,
"Why not? Did something happen?",
"No, just anxious." I said wearily as Matt started idly playing with my hair.
"Anything in particular making you anxious?" He asked, his voice still sleepy.
"Not really, there's just this weird feeling in my chest making it hard for me to relax."
"Hmm", he said in response. Shifting closer to him, I took in his warmth as he continued to play with my hair. Feeling more comfortable when wrapped one arm around me and rubbed my back in soothing circles.
After what seemed like half an hour, my body finally decided to give into sleep. Sighing contently, I said "Thank you, Matt."
"Anytime," he replied.
"I love you." i said sleepily
"I love you, too."
