Hiya! So sorry about the wait, but I'm back! Here's the next chapter!

Thank you all for all your comments and votes, it truly is so motivating (;

A couple of weeks passed, for the most part everyone had begun to settle in and started on a routine. The days had mainly consisted of Tengen taking the time to get to know you, being extremely patient and gentle with you.

After a few days back in the house Tengen had Makio and Hinatsuru take you out shopping for some quality time while he and Suma talked about your circumstances. The two decided it would be best if he took more of a helping role rather than an authoritative one until you were truly comfortable with him. Tengen then scolded Suma for pushing you to treat him like a father in which she cried, whining about a big happy family. It was hard for him to hear about how you were treated, like Suma he swore that given the chance he'd wipe them all off the face of the earth, but besides all that he swore to love and protect you like his own- because to him you already were.

Dinners these days started going far smoother, Tengen purposely choosing to favor you instead of his wives. You tried so hard to fight it but you eventually caved when he started feeding you his ohagi when you finished your plate on your own.

One thing that absolutely did not change one bit, was the fact that you did not let him into the bath with you and your moms.

"[Y/N], sweetie, won't you please let Tengen-Sama bathe with us," Suma whined childishly, she missed sharing these moments with her husband.

"Oi, if you're gonna ruin the peace of my bath by complaining, you can just get out," Makio hissed, stopping the gentle playing of your hair. You frown over to Hinatsuru, trying to get her to stop the inevitable fight between the two.

"You could always wait to bathe with him," Hinatsuru chimed in, "you know we'll gladly take a bath with [y/n]."

You hold your little hand in a thumbs up to her, satisfied with her attempt. Suma huffed, not satisfied with that solution but didn't say anything else. Makio gently pushed you off her lap towards Suma, almost as if to tell her to 'stop pouting and be happy.'

"Can we go for a picinic," you ask randomly, saying the last word wrong on purpose. You and Suma had been learning about picnics the other day after you'd read about them in a book together. You thought it'd be amazing to make food with your mommies and go eat it at a park together. They all giggled at you, but Suma pulled you in tight and nuzzled into the top of your head.

"Of course we can, my little princess," she gushed. She looked to Hina, then Makio, it would be the perfect time to tell you what they had all talked about. They could plan it out perfect, just for you!

"Alright, I'm pruning in here," Makio announced and stood up, exiting the bath, "I'm gonna get out first to prepare our room for the night."

"Thank you, I'm right behind you."

Hinatsuru stood, leaning down to look you over and make sure you were thoroughly clean while in Suma's lap, then fully exited the bath as well.

"Mommy Suma," you ask tiredly as she starts to get you out of the bath. She hummed in response, wrapping you in a warm towel. You stared at your feet, nervous to ask your question, "Do you think Tengen-Sama will come home tonight?"

She smiled at you softly, kneeling down to your level and grabbing your hand.

"Yes, of course sweetie," she assured you. The love-hate relationship you had with Tengen cracked her up, and she was glad that slowly you were taking to him. She guessed you were worried because he hadn't returned home last night since he'd started Hashira training for the boys. He would be home tonight though, she knew that and felt comfortable promising you that. Gently, she led you to the room, it wasn't very often you slept in the nursery by yourself anymore, only when you were mad at Tengen and even then he always brought you into bed with him after you'd fallen asleep.
