The scent. the breeze and the warmth of the sun, paired with pain was excellent for me to fall asleep. I had been dozing off alone in my chair for about thirty minutes before I was wakened by the chirping of birds in the vicinity and the chilly wind messing my hair. It was giving me goosebumps all over. I shifted in my chair, not opening my eyes yet, and tilted my head to the alternate side but my neck cracked due to soreness and I immediately opened my eyes. I was met by mum's smile and I smiled back.
I don't want to leave you alone here.
"I didn't get to tell you that...you're the best mum in the whole world." I said, when suddenly, her photo was shadowed by something, or someone. The shadow looked like a man's who was practically towering over me from behind.
"My father says I suck at timing." The voice was bold, medium heavy, and it jump-scared me for some reason. I turned my chair around hastily to see a man wearing a black tux. He looked like he was there to pay respect, since he wore black, but I didn't recognize him at all. The sun shining from behind him was making my vision blurry. He definitely wasn't from mum's side, but it was a possibility that he knew my dad.
I placed a hand in front of my eyes and tried seeing through the gap between my fingers.
"I don't know who you or your father is." I said respectfully. He could turn out to be anyone. I had to be careful.
"Gavin Leonidas." He put his hand forward for a hand-shake.
That name rang a bell. My hand moved on it's own and held his. I didn't even realize my mouth was left opened as I was thinking. He had his hands shoved inside his pockets from the start, so his hands felt warm and I didn't want to let go. It felt like the warmth of mum's hand.
So he is Gavin Leon...idus? Or idas? The man was talking about him the other day?
"I still don't know you." I said.
He retrieved his hand and shoved both his hands inside his pockets again," Doesn't matter. What does is that you're someone I've been looking for. Sienna May?"
"What if I'm not?" I asked, not caring to introduce myself to a stranger whom I was getting more and more suspicious of. He had previously sent his man at my door. What if he really was a loan shark, even though he didn't look like one?
"You have to be her." He smirked.
"And what do you want?" I asked.
"It's...your trust." He said after thinking for 3 seconds. I counted.
"You know, your father's right. You do suck at timing. I'm not in a mood to be a part of your little joke so please excuse me." I said and left immediately, leaving no room for him to say another word.

2nd August
Early morning, Mrs. Fiona visited me regarding the rent and I paid her through mum's phone. I was only left with 5 pounds and some in the bank, but I didn't know the PIN and needed to visit the bank personally. I gave up on that idea and just sat at home because I didn't have the energy to go. Something you really need at a bank is patience. I was lacking in that part. Additionally, sometimes I become invisible because of my wheelchair, and sometimes, I become way too visible. It's a confusing thing. No, people are confusing
"What do I do about the Hospital bills? I only have 9 days left now." I said to myself. I felt sick most of the days and slept. A thought of selling away useless furniture and moving into a cheaper apartment did cross my mind, but it wouldn't have been possible in just nine days.
It was hard for me to get accustomed to living without mum. It wasn't this hard when dad died, because I'd never even seen him. It was different. On top of that, mum never made me feel that I didn't have a dad. Anything I needed was given to me. I considered myself lucky to be born as such a brave woman's daughter. She loved me and I loved her more than anything.
My eyes began to water, so I shut them tightly and put myself to sleep.

I spent three days in job hunting and eventually found a job at a small office, since I knew computer, but all of the staff were males and it was a congested and closed office, which didn't seem safe for me.
For the meantime until I found a job, I looked after the shop and made enough money for food and basic requirements.
"Mum, you're happy where you are right?" I asked as I looked at the ceiling," I know it's going to be hard for me, but it'll pass. Don't worry about me."
Right when I stopped talking, the door-bell rang and I was taken by surprise at the suddenness.
"Who the hell--" I glanced at the clock. It was 10PM and I couldn't think of anyone who would visit me at that hour. I still made the effort of getting on my wheelchair and getting the door, in case it was Mrs. Fiona.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Gavin Leonidas."
I was astonished. What was that man doing outside my door at that hour? Did we even know each other for him to come at my door-step? I knew that he knew my address, but that didn't mean he could come any time or come at all.
"You've chosen a real good time for visiting a girl." I said sarcastically.
"Open the door. I need to talk to you." He ordered.
"About what?" I asked.
"The accident three years ago."
