A cold winter season settles over Nome as Balto is confronted by his daughter, Aleu in the full bloom of her heat. The fateful meeting is full of tension, passion and lust as Balto struggles with his insecurities in the face of the tempting shewolf.

A steady wind blew across the deck of the derelict fishing boat. The old wood of the vessel slowly rotting in the frozen sand of the beach. It was the deepest part of the alaskan winter, snow covering every surface as thick clouds held in the night sky.

Looking out to the cold sea was Balto, eyes weary from poor sleep and troubling thoughts. All around snowflakes fluttered from the darkened sky, landing upon the wolf dog's thick fur. A covering of snow gathering on him as he lay flat against the deck of the vessel.

Five days ago Balto had pushed away his only companion for the past year and a half. Aleu, his daughter had gone into heat. In fear of her safety he was forced into the only option he saw to protect her, from him. Even now he did not know if she would ever return, his mind plagued with doubt and regret. But he knew he couldn't let Aleu breed with him out of heated desperation, her first time can not be a regretful moment of weakness between them. He wouldn't let it happen.

He wanted her to find happiness, to be free and find what he never could in Nome. As much as it pained him, as much as he wished she could be here, he knew he never deserved a beautiful, kind canine like her. Balto had long since loved and lost, his chance squandered on a foolish dream.

Behind the wolf dog a pair of sharp blue eyes stared from the edge of the boat. The large predator stepping carefully up the ramp, she had traveled far south to mask her approach from the winter wind. Her paws were expertly silent, creeping over the crest of the starboard bow as she held a slow but determined pace.

Staring down at the old boards Aleu took a slow step onto the deck, shifting her weight carefully as she glanced back up.

On the Port side Balto's head was turned to the approaching figure, a look of surprise and disbelief on his face as he lay rigid, snow falling from his now upright ears.

Aleu's predatory stance faltered, her own ears laying flat as a nervous smile spread across her muzzle. She looked back at her father, his familiar, powerful gaze sending a tingle through her. She chuckled lightly at the feeling, it had been five days since she had seen him, but he had been in her mind ever since she left. Loving dreams, explicit fantasies, everything she hoped to accomplish by coming here.

Balto's body rose from the deck, the snow splitting then sliding from his coat as he stood tall.

"Aleu! Are you hurt? Did something happen?" Balto asked hastily, walking forward to ensure she was ok. But he paused, regaining control as he was reminded of the reason he had sent her away. Her scent was blowing over him now, an alluring aroma that stopped him in his tracks.

"Oh, I'm fine.. I just... I just needed to talk to you." Aleu said, stepping forward as she played naive, a coy smile on her lips as she confidently strode closer.

"Aleu.. It's not safe for you... c-can't this wait?" Balto pleaded, his voice wavering as he was faced with his defiant daughter. Despite his worried stance she drew closer, not speaking a word.

"I know this is very difficult for you, but you cannot be... this... close..." Balto choked as Aleu stepped in, her muzzle now mere inches from his. Her scent grew strong, the tantalizing aroma that was meant to drive males wild.

She did not respond to his warnings, only smiling and wagging her tail as if nothing was out of place. Balto's eyelids drooped down unconsciously as he breathed. The potent heat was pushing its way into his mind. But he was not a hot headed young dog, he could keep himself in check, for her sake.
