Rose [ A Revenge Story ]

Bloody Truth*

As I standing in front of a large double door made of oak. Lights from the window is the only sigh of life coming from inside. Unsure what the reasons fully are for myself been summoned to his house. I did know that it was a poker night for the men of the Mafia. Had heard some of the men talking about it earlier at the club. Sliding my hands down my dress and knocking on the door. A small rounded woman answers the door and looks at me with a half smile.

"May I help you dear" at first thoughts  I think I have the wrong address and I look at the small folded note in my hand. Then back up at her "I am here to see Mr Burnsten" I reply sweetly. The lady nods her head then pulls the door open wider allowing me to enter.

She points to a set of doors "you can wait in there, he will be with you shortly." She looks at me with her head to the side it is then that I realise she is waiting for a name. "Rose" I say as she nods her head as I walk towards what seems to be a study. I look around at the floor to ceiling bookshelf's that line the walls. Tracing my fingers along the spines as I read the titles. One book catches my attention as I feel a small smile tug at my lips.

"Like what you see" a deep rumble of a voice catches me of guard and I mentally scolds myself For not paying more attention to my surroundings. Looking over her shoulder letting my finger slid down the books spine as I turns myself around. The man that had interrupted me was not Johnny in fact this man was one that I had never seen before. Smiling politely at him "I have just never seen so many books in one place before." The smirk that graces his lips is followed by a short laugh " never been in a library then."

He steps forward towards me and reaches out to grip my arm. In any normal situation I would cut his hands off for putting them on me. "You should not be in here, now who do you belong to." He pulls me towards the door of the study leading me out. I go to pull my arm away from his grip when another voice speaks out.

"Daniel, I see you have introduced yourself to Rose here" my eyes instantly shoot to the corner of the room. He stand there in the shadows for how long I could not tell. But that voice that drips with sex is not one I could confuse with anyone else's. "Boss, sorry for stepping in, I - I just" he steps out of the shadows and into the dimly lit room. "You just what" irrational leaks into his voice that even has me looking down at the ground. Daniel realise my arm and nods his head as he apologises and leave the room closing the door behind him.

I am still looking down at the ground. When I hear him move towards me. His callous fingers lift my chin up so I look into his eyes. "Rose" he breathes my name and I feel tingles inside of me, my mouth becomes very dry. "Boss, I hope I am not interrupting anything" he smirks at me and slides his fingers down my neck to rest on the side of my arm. "I asked you to come here" he simply said as he lead me towards a set of doors in the shadows. Doors that he must have entered in, he pushes them open and they lead to a set of stairs. As he walks down them I follows behind him, admiring the way he walks with so much power but yet grace.

As we near the bottom of the stairs it opens out into what looks like a strip club. Half dressed women walking around carrying trays of drinks, naked women sitting on men's laps or dancing around poles. Yes it is a strip club she tells herself. A few people in the room look up as we enter most eyes are on me. I don't need to know why the looks are confused I am a woman, a fully dressed woman at that. I feel Johnny's fingers wrap around my waist as he pulls me to his side. His lips go to my ear his breathy words sending shivers down my spine. "Stay close to me" I am confused by his words but listen to them anyway.

Surly he knows who I am and he should know that I am packing. I am not worried about any of the guys in here. We make our way to a door that is on the other side of the room. It opens out into a larger storage looking room. But what caught my attention was the man tied to a chair in the centre of it. I could see six other guys in the room as well four standing around the guy seated and two in the shadows. Johnny let go of my arm and walked to the centre of the room. I went to follow but he held his hand up halting me. He walked straight up to the guy tied to the chair and held his hand out. That is when I noticed Tony he hands Johnny a gun.
