Falling For You

Prologue

Saanvi was furious. No, furious is not the suitable word for the current situation she was in, but she was almost on her way to call the cops and arrest the guy who is a heartthrob for so many girls in the city.

She looks at him with so much hatred that he was feeling guilty for picking her up directly from her classes. She crossed her legs and asked what was going on in her head ever since he brought her up in the restaurant.

"What do you want? And ‌why did you kidnap me and brought me here?" After hearing the 'Kidnap' word, almost everyone around their table looked at them and Saatvik gulped down at the stares everyone was giving him.

"I didn't kidnap you, I picked you up from your class," Saatvik clears and take a sigh of relief when he saw that people around their table have turned their attention to something else.

Saanvi kept looking at her watch and she grumbled in annoyance as she noticed it will ruin her timetable for today just because of the guy in front of her. She glared at him and says, "Look, whatever the thing you want to talk to me, please spit it out. I have other things to do, and this is almost ruining my timetable."

"Why don't we order something first? I am sure that you have had nothing to eat for hours, right?" Saatvik suggested and at the same moment, her stomach grumbled to answer on her behalf.

She clears her throat and looked at the menu card and her eyes were wide open after seeing the price per dish. She mentally calculated the money she had with her when she heard Saatvik say, "This one will be on me. Don't worry about money, okay?"

She slowly nods her head and ordered the cheapest thing that was on the menu, Saatvik orders the thing which he usually orders as he used to come to this restaurant a lot and while they were waiting for their order to come, they stared at the plate that was placed in front of them.

To clear the awkwardness between them, Saatvik clears his throat and says, "You were asking why I brought you here, right?"

"Yes," Saanvi replies and made direct eye contact with him.

It's not even a lie that she was feeling weird towards him ever since they first met at the stadium, but the meetings they had after their first meet was not pleasant at all. Saanvi was almost on the verge of stopping the cable network in her house after hearing news of her dating him. Him of all those guys she had met.

Yes, they ‌meet each other or bump into each other quite a lot of times, but this meeting felt different.

Saatvik takes a deep breath and asks that has almost made him sleepless most of the time. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks her with the faintest voice he had.

There was a pin drop silence for a few minutes and Saanvi looked at him with various emotions going through her face. It was confusion at first, which changed into anger, and then it turned back to confusion. "What?" She asks just to confirm that she heard him right.

"I want you to be my girlfriend." He says it again with confidence in his voice. Yeah, it scared him that ‌he would get a rejection by her the instant that came out of his mouth, but he still give it a shot.

"You want me to be your girlfriend?" She asks him in the same way he had told her again, but there wasn't any hint of anger in her voice.

By the time he was going to reply ‌to her, the server came and served the dishes they ordered. Before the conversation, both of them were famished and thought that eating would clear out the tension there was between them, but after the food came, none of them were in the mood to eat now.

"Why me?" Saanvi asks him while mentally praying that he hadn't fallen for her. Because if he did, she would refuse to date him. Not because she is not into guys or anything, but she wasn't interested in dating anyone as of now. Especially when she was still confused about what she would be in the future.

Saanvi Meshram had only one intention throughout her life: she would study hard and pursue a job that will have a stable income. That's it. For her, the plan was perfect because she had no friend, no one to be a distraction for her and it was easy as a pie for her to crack the government exam. That was until her paths crossed with Saatvik Sardesai.

Saatvik Sardesai was the city's heartthrob. Ever since he got selected for playing on the Indian cricket team, girls have been going crazy for him for so many reasons. People will think that he got into this position just because of his family's reputation, but he knows ‌he had earned hard for it. Yeah, that also means that paparazzi follow him a lot of times and he had been getting trolled for a lot of things for now, but everything changed to good ever since his paths crossed with Saanvi. He may have fallen for her ever since he saw her first, but he knows ‌she despises him a lot just because of his minor mistake.

It would be interesting to see them together because of the little game of fate.
