Maya's birthday party was winding down, leaving only the birthday girl, Riley, Farkle, Billy, Smackle, and Lucas sitting in a circle. The night had reached it's high when Farkle had suggested a game of of Truth or Dare. Riley had not been as excited as the others had when Farkle had spoken up, possibly admitting some pretty embarrassing things in front the boy she had had a crush on since seventh grade didn't seem like such a fun time. She spent the entirety of the game crossing her fingers, hoping not to be picked.

It seemed as if her luck had run out when Farkle's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, "earth to Riley, come in Riley".

"What," Riley had responded, a confused expression crossed her face, hiding the embarrassment she felt at being caught day dreaming.

"I said, truth or dare," Farkle said, a smile creeped onto his face.

"Uh," Riley weighed the possibilities for a second, dare meant doing something dumb on front of Lucas, "truth!" Riley spoke confidently.

"Who was your first kiss," Farkle questioned, his smile turning sour. All eyes were on Riley.

"Farkle," Maya growled, ready to pounce.

"Farkle, I know why you asked this question, and for the millionth time, what you did in the auditorium does not count as a kiss, you missed my mouth," Riley said, effectively shutting Farkle up for a second.

"Okay then Riley," regaining his bravado, Farkle spoke once more, "who was your real first kiss,".

"Uhhhh," Riley glanced over at Maya, her eyes wide in horror.

"Would you look at that, 8:47 already, party's over," Maya spoke, standing up, trying to rush everybody out.

"No, Maya, it's okay. I'm not ashamed, I'll answer the question,".
Smackle and Billy stopped in the doorway and turned their heads toward Riley, wanting to see what would happen before they left.

Riley noticed that Lucas had been silent since the question had been asked and now his focus was trained solely on her; like he was on trial and Riley was the jury deciding his fate.

Looking directly at Lucas, Riley spoke, "I've never actually kissed anybody,".

Riley turned her head, unable to look at Lucas any longer, but she missed the small smile that spread across Lucas' face at Riley's admission.

Maya had not missed the looks Riley and Lucas had been giving each other when they thought no one was looking and she definitely hadn't missed Lucas' smile.

"We stayed to hear that?" Smackle whispered to Billy, "Let's get out of here," Billy responded.

"Wait up guys, I'll walk you out," Maya called after them, walking toward the door.
"Get over here Farkle," Maya says impatiently.
"Anything for my lady," Farkle speaks, making his way to the door.

"Riley,"
"Yes, Lucas?"
"Truth or dare," he asked, his face staying calm, not showing how nervous he felt in that moment.

"Lucas..." Riley said, unsure of how to proceed.

"Please, just pick one," Lucas asked.

"Fine. Dare," Riley chose, knowing how well truth worked out last time.

"Riley Matthews, I dare you to kiss me,"

All the air seemed to have left the room, it was just Lucas and Riley standing in front of each other, their eyes locked.

"Lucas... what are you doing," Riley eyed Lucas as he took a step closer.

Lucas reaches out for Riley, placing his hands on her waist, pulling her closer to him.

"I'm seizing my moment," Lucas said, placing a hand on her cheek, looking into Riley's eyes, looking for any signs of her not wanting this.
There was no doubt in her eyes, just pure happiness. Lucas leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on Riley's lips. When he pulled back, all he could see was Riley's goofy smile which he could only assume was an exact replica of the one on his face. He only hoped it was as good of a first kiss as it had been for him.
