Walking into the spacious suite, Noel looked around. She wanted the area to be the perfect size for her, it had to be perfect. She didn't like how pink it was, though. It was too pink.
"And how much for rent?," she glanced back at the woman, who was watching as she inspected.
"It's $140 a month, or $70 every two weeks." The tall, slim woman replied.
"What does first payment have to be?" Noel asked her, she wanted to make sure she was well off.
"$325, ma'am."
She closed her eyes for a moment as she paused to think.
'Should I do this, God?' She asked herself.
Just then, her series 5 Apple watch vibrated with a notification. She lifted her left wrist up and glanced at the small screen—'Procrastination is the arrogant assumption that God owes you another opportunity to do what you had time to do.'
She smiled softly and looked at the woman, "Is cash fine?"
The woman grinned and they began the process.

"Where you at baby?" Niccoli asked Noel as he walked through his office. He nodded at his secretary and gave her instructions to redirect all calls for the next 2 hours.
"I'm pulling up now, daddy." His daughter spoke. He said his 'okay's' and they hung up the phone.
"Sir," Sierra, his secretary, knocked and peeked her head through his wooden doors.
He lifted his brows in response. "Yeah?" He questioned.
"Your ex-wife is on line 2, she kept calling until I put her through." Nic sighed and rolled his eyes, he gave Sierra a tight nod before picking up the phone.
"Tanya." He spoke as he clicked onto the line.
"Why is it so hard for me to get through to you? Shouldn't that be automatic?"
"You were no longer important after the divorce." He stated blatantly. He hated the way Tanya was turning out. She treated his daughter as if she was a random on the street and he wasn't going for it.
Tanya scoffed and replied, "Where is my child?" Niccoli jerked his head back as if she could see him. She had some nerve.
"Now she's your child? After you abused and kicked her out of your house? Don't play with me Tanya." He spat roughly.
Tanya shook her head on the other end, "That's not what happened! That little girl is disrespectful as hell with no respect for me or my house!!" She yelled.
Tyris scrunched his brows, "Since when is not wanting random men coming in and out of the house disrespectful, Tanya? I wanna know what the fuck you been smoking that makes you feel comfortable enough to have these niggas around my daughter!"
A couple months ago, Noel took her moms phone to find her dads number—she hadn't talked to him in about two years.
"Ma, you told my dad that I didn't wanna see him?" Noel walked into Tanya's room, with Niccoli on the phone and a frown on her face.
