Sans POV

I let out a sigh as the last of the bodyguards fell. This mission has given us nothing but trouble. Papyrus gets up from his spot as our sniper. He walks over to me as I try and find some information.

"That was close, Sans." He says. I nod my head in agreement. As I find a paper. It was folded. I unfold it to find what the paper had. It was a letter. Unfortunately, some of the words were either scratched out or unreadable.

'He's lost his mind. Can't —— her. They—————yet! What can I do?'

I got nothing from this letter. Who is this her in this letter. And who is he? I sigh and throw the paper on the ground. I get up and walk around this building for anything else we might've missed. I make it to a office like area and go through it. I find another note. Again, the words were scratched off in some areas.

'... says he can't redo the ritual as her soul isn't———! Motherfucker! She needs to return by my side! Then, only then, will ———- pay for his crime against me.'

So this guy is obsessed with a woman. But what's with this woman's soul and who is this guy who wronged him? This is annoying. This is a whole wild goose chase. I walk out the office but turn to the room again. On the desk, there seemed to be an urn. A fancy one at that. Even though, we were trying to find some riches, it's wrong to rob from the dead. I leave the room and went to find Papyrus. I do find him outside this building near a van.

"Find anything?" I ask him. Papyrus looks up to me and tosses something at me. I catch it easily and look at it. A golden watch with a F/I (first initial) on it. This clearly belongs to somebody. I let out a hum and give it back to Papyrus.

"How about you, Sans?" Papyrus asks.

"Just some notes but I can't make anything from them. From what I gather, whoever this man is, he's obsessed with a woman and plans on taken revenge on someone." I answer. Papyrus looks down as he knows nothing about this either. I let out a sigh. Maybe a drink from Grillby might clear my mind.

Time skip

"Ready to go, kiddo?" I ask Frisk as they grab their backpack. They nod their head as I teleport to Grillby's place. Grillby told Papyrus that he knows someone that can watch Frisk and has been for two weeks now. I take a look around to find that Grillby's is clean, as normal. I see Grillby wiping down the counter as Frisk runs up to the seat near the bar. I follow them.

"Hey Grills. I'll take the usual." I say. Grillby nods his head and walks to the back. As he opens the door to the back, I hear something break.

"OW!" A woman's voice could be heard.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" Grillby asks, staring into the room.

"Yeah... sorry Grillby! I'll replace the bottle." The woman says.

"You don't have to. Come out, Frisk is here." After Grillby says that, a woman pops out. Her hand was on her head, showing where she got injured. She removes her hand to see if she has blood. The damage on her head didn't look too bad. Maybe just a bump on the head. She sighs and turns to Frisk with a smile.

"Hey kid!" She says with a happy tone. Frisk smiles and lifts their hand up for a high five. She grabs their hand and makes a blowing up sound while enacting a blow up with her hand. She then turns to me. Her smile is very bright. Grillby comes out and pours me a shot of my drink. I drink it down easily.

"So, who are you, dear lady?" I ask. The girl, who I assume is Y/n, turns to me.

"I'm Y/n. And you are Sans, I presume?" She asks me. My eyes widen in shock but they quickly die down as I chuckle.

"Grillby talk shit about me?" I jokingly ask. Y/n smiles as Frisk pulls out a book and hands to her. Grillby rolls his eyes.

"Thanks for letting me borrow it!" Frisk says.

"No. Grillby doesn't talk shit. He is too nice of a guy to do that. Frisk on the other hand." Y/n giggles. Y/n goes through the pages of the book as Frisk stares in shock.

"Y/n!" Frisk scolds. Y/n giggles and pinches their cheeks. I laugh at this.

"I'm kidding. I've spoken to your brother couple of times when he would drop Frisk off." She says. I hum in thought as Frisk has a fake pouty face. Y/n waves Frisk to a table in the bar, leaving Grillby and I to the bar table. Grillby gives me a refill of my drink as I look behind me to Frisk laughing with Y/n.

"So, how'd you meet?" I ask. Grillby looks at me and wipes the table.

"I found her while taking a walk. She almost died." Grillby answers. I turn to her. Frisk is pointing at something in their bag as Y/n smiles at them.

"I wouldn't expect you to care for someone. You do have ties with us." I comment. Grillby pushes his glasses into place as he stares at Y/n with a sorrow look.

"She was someone I couldn't leave to die. I don't know who attacked her but a cold and wet death doesn't sound great." He says. I turn back to my drink, in thought. Grillby does have a good heart, even if it's covered in the flames of a very hot fire.

"Attacked?" I ask, rethinking on his words. Grillby blinks away from Y/n.

"I can only assume that she got attacked. Though it's strange. No wounds on her when I found her. When she woke up, I asked her but... she couldn't recall anything other than her name." Grillby says. I turn my gaze to him.

"She... can't recall anything?" I ask. Grillby shakes his head as he turns to look at me.

Your POV

You glance at the two men at the bar. You could hear them talk about you. You let out a sigh.

You can't recall your life before. All you can remember is waking up in the room that Grillby put you in. You also can recall the name Y/n but can't remember if that's your name or someone else's name. You do have the feeling that it's your name but you aren't too positive about it. When you try to remember your life before, you can only think of a purple light. You never told Grillby this, only because you feel if the purple light has nothing to do with your life before.

You look to Frisk, who brought out a book of their own. They also got some colored crayons for the book you guess. Frisk opens up a page, the page has an alien little guy that looks so fluffy. The alien has a little grass skirt around its waist. It's so cute. Frisk grabs a dark blue crayon and starts to fill it in.

"So, who's this character?" You ask Frisk. As they color, you try to ignore Grillby talking Sans.

"He's from the movie, Lilo and Stitch. He's Stitch. You should watch this movie with me sometime." Frisk answers. You hum and smile at them as they color away.

"To be honest, I don't want to rush Y/n to remember. She will remember. In time." Grillby tells Sans.
