A girl ran down the path of a thick forest. Snow had started to fall quite heavily earlier that morning and had been throughout the day. I suppose it would be quite a beautiful sight; the snowy earth under the pale moonlight. But when running as fast as your legs can carry you down incredibly steep hills, you don't have time to stop and enjoy the scenery.
As the girl ran, an icy cold wind struck her face. Her cheeks, nose, and ears had already turned red, as she has been running for quite some time. Even her lips had begun to turn blue, but she couldn't slow down. Her strawberry-blonde hair flowed behind her as she ran while a look of panic fixed itself in her dark blue eyes. She knew her pursuers were right behind her. She thought back to the warm, soft bunk bed she had been lying in just an hour before. She thought about the sweet girl with black hair whom she always looked after.
"What's going to happen to her?" she thought. "What's going to happen to me?"
While lost in her thoughts, the girl failed to see a tree root sticking up out of the ground. She noticed it at the last second, but it was too late. She tripped, fell to the ground, rolled twice, then slammed into a nearby tree. Her vision becomes slightly blurred as she looks up. Standing in front of her were two figures. One of them grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to her feet. She tried to struggle, but the force of hitting the tree must have broken at least two of her ribs. She winced in pain as the two figures, which she had now realized looked like men, stared at her.
"Time to go, Jane," one of them said. "He is waiting."
Jane's eyes widened. She knew what was going to happen and now, she couldn't do anything to stop it. She knew even if by some miracle she managed to get away from the two men, she wouldn't be able to run. All she could do while they dragged her away was scream.
