I heard voices on the other side of the door, but the sound was too muffled to hear. I just gave up and decided to read.

I thought about picking up one of the books Nightmare recommended to me, the book was under three other books. So I held the top three with one hand, while pulling the bottom one with my free hand. I managed to pull the book I wanted, but the others ended up losing their balance, falling to the floor and under the bed.

"Oops!" I bent down picking up two of the books as I reached for the last book that was under the bed. "Uh! What is it?"

I pulled whatever was under the bed, was it a book twice as big? I ran my hand over the cover, regretting it when I felt the thick layer of dust.

"How long has this been down here?" I said, cleaning my hand on my clothes.

*knock knock* there was a beat on the door, accompanied by a voice "Night, it's me Horror, let's go on a mission, do you need anything?"

"Hm... No, I'm fine!"

"Okay!" he said, walking away.

"Okay, what if I blow?" I gathered as much air as I could and blew hard.

"*cough* I forgot about the dust,” I said through my coughing fit.

"Let's see, what is written? 'The AUs encyclopedia', perhaps, this explains to me what AU means. But this book is by Nightmare, I shouldn't mess with other people's stuff." I thought about putting it back under the bed, but a thought came to my mind. 'They just left and Nightmare said he would be back in two or three. hours, so I still have time.'

"I don't think Nightmare would mind if I just took a peek." I said, leaning my back against the bed.

What is an AU?

AU stands for Alternatives Universes. AUs are universes based on Undertale or other existing universes. There are several different AUs, all with their own characteristics, but one thing they all have in common are their main characters like: Frisk, Flower, Toriel, Papyrus, etc. The ones that stand out the most are the Sans, in each AU there is only one Sans, with the exception of some that have two, like Dreamtale for example....

'Nightmare, had said I was from Dreamtale. But what is a Sans? I don't remember anything with that name.' I thought as I flipped through the pages.

"Dusttale..... Horrortale..... Infinitytale..... Uh? A page has been torn out. Was Nightmare the one who pulled it off? Maybe it's better to wait for him to come back." I said, closing the book and pushing it under the bed.

I got up off the floor, throwing myself abruptly on the bed. "I hope I can see Dream again soon, I miss him..." I closed my eyes trying to push those thoughts away.

'This voice... It's so familiar, but I don't remember who, it will be... Dream....?'

"WAKE UP!"

"OUCH!" on impact I sit up as fast as I can, turning to my aggressor "Dream! Why did you do that?"

"I've been waking you up since morning so we can go play with the other kids, but you've been sleeping all day and now it's getting dark and I didn't have any fun!" he said, crossing his arms with anger.
