A/N ~ I DREW THAT PHOTO!!! So all credits of the photo go to me, except for the characters Johnny Ghost and Johnny Toast, those characters go to VenturianTale. But, anyways, I hope you like the photo and the story!
The light shined through the translucent shades of Johnny Ghost's window, a thin ray of light shining on his face. Johnny Toast ~Ghost's partner~ walked into the room, opening the shades.
"Ugh..." Ghost groaned, turning over to look at Toast, who's hair was a wreck. "Sir..." Toast groggily began, "we got a" Toast yawned, "call this morning... we have to go..." Toast swayed back and forth, looking as though one touch would send him stumbling through the window.
"Fine..." Ghost grumbled, getting to his feet, then shooing Toast out of the room so he could change. Toast exited the room, leaving Ghost to his thoughts ~and clothes. Ghost walked around the room as though he was there for the first time.
"Soon... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Rang Jimmy Casket's voice inside of Ghost's head, Ghost cringed, holding his head. He walked over to his bedside table, picking up two small pills and dropping them in his mouth, swallowing them. Ghost shook his head, trying to keep Jimmy from taking over.
"Sir, are you ready to go, yet?" Toast asked through the door, sounding much better than earlier, Ghost jumped, "Crap!" He thought to himself, "I'll be out in just a second, Toast!" He called, "Alright, sir!" Ghost dashed to his closet for some clothes. He threw on a blue t-shirt, some jeans, and his usual grey sweater.
Ghost walked out of his door, heading to the bathroom, he closed the door behind him, standing in front of the mirror. Ghost's hair was a complete mess, he splashed some water in his face and fixed his hair. Ghost looked up and yelped: he saw Jimmy appear in the mirror. Ghost splashed his face again, trying to get the picture out of his mind: a paper white, thin figure wearing a crooked smile and black, messy hair to complement his soul.
Toast knocked on the door, "Sir, are you okay?!" Toast asked, worried for his boss. "I-I'm fine, Toast!" Ghost called, not quite telling the truth; he was terrified. Ghost shook his head, walking out of the door. "Are you ready to go, sir?" Toast greeted his boss, "Yup!" Ghost confirmed, Toast realised something, frowned a little, and asked, "Are you sure you're not going to eat something, first, sir?"
Ghost shook his head, grabbing his hunting gear and heading to the door, "Let's gooo!" Ghost said dramatically, walking to the car. Toast chuckled, forgetting, for a second, how odd his boss was acting. Toast jogged to the driver's seat, "I'll drive, sir!" He claimed, halfway in the car already. "Alright..." Ghost trailed, a little suspicious as to how quickly Toast called driving.
But he shook it off.Soon they were both at the house that called at 3AM. They walked into the mysterious house, "Hello! Anyone here? I am Johnny Ghost, Paranormal Investigator Extraordinaire with Johnny Toast!" Ghost called into the echoing halls; getting no reply. "That's odd, sir..." Toast said, "Perhaps they just left..." Ghost shrugged, "I'm not so sure about that, Toast." Ghost walked over to one of the walls, trailing his fingers over the blood.
There was a scream.Toast immediately took off running in the direction of the scream; Ghost looked around the house for anything else, just in case. Toast eventually found the room the scream came from and found woman tied to a support beam, with slash marks all over her body. Toast was mortified, "What could do this and why...?" Toast untied her and helped her up.
"What's your name, ma'am?" Toast asked, but she didn't say anything, she simply shook her head over and over again, soft sobs escaping her petite lips. Toast picked her up; carrying her back downstairs to Ghost, when something yanked him through the floor, breaking the wood floor and then replacing it, making a loud crashing noise.
"Did you hear that, Toast"? Ghost asked, hoping that Toast could hear him, but got no reply, "Toast??" Ghost was terrified, what happened to Toast? Ghost sprinted up the stairs, but not before hearing a door creak open. Ghost ignored the creak, determined to find his partner; the only person that keeps him sane. Ghost ran over the stairs,
missing where Toast was.Ghost ran into a dark room, looking around with no sign of Toast; he heard a loud crash. Ghost ran back down the stairs to the living room, there was another creak, but Ghost once again ignored it.
He shouldn't have...
