For the next month, Charlene spent her time alone, and quiet.

Of course, Draco visited her everyday, and of course, she had Mula walking around the apartment complaining half of the time, but she felt like she could breathe again. The first week was the hardest, knowing she'd lost Astoria had hit her pretty rough. And the second week was even harder to get out of bed and eat— and by the third week, she was putting on a little bit of makeup to try and feel more comfortable in her own body.

She's cut her hair, up to her shoulders, and Draco made sure to tell her she looked good every time he stopped by. She missed him, but she was greatful that he let her be alone. She needed it.

Occasionally, she'd let him stay longer than two hours, and they'd just sit out on the patio, a cup of tea in her hands while he just looked out at the city. Draco didn't probe her about anything, and she knew he was finally accepting that she needed space. And when she was ready, she'd let him in.

Now, she  was on her way to go into Draco's job, two boxes of caramel cakes in her hands. She wanted to see him right now, and she was off of work, so she thought she'd stop by. Draco worked for a big company, she didn't know what he did, all she knew was that he sat at a desk and she thinks he does nothing all day. She hasn't taken the time to ask him, but she's sure that's he's the head boss because he's already on the cover of almost every single magazine. He was a Malfoy, she could already see it coming.

Charlene's heels bumped against the floor as she walked in, her skin tight dress accompanying her curves, along with her small little bump. Her hair was down, curls falling at the end and she thought she'd give anything for Draco to slide his hand into them.

The lady at the front desk stopped shortly, watching Charlene approach her. "Do you know where Draco Malfoys room is?"

The lady sort of curled her lip into a snarl, "Of course I do. Do you have an appointment?"

Charlene sighed, "No. I don't. And I also don't need one, thank you anyways." She walked off, realizing the lady wasn't going to give her a room number.

"Hey!" The lady called back, anger laced in her voice. "He's in a meeting! You can't just—"

"Then I'll wait," Charlene took a seat gently, her two cakes now sitting in her lap. I just want to see him. "I won't be a bother. I can wait."

So she waited. She waited thirty minutes, until that turned into an hour, and now tears were brimming in her eyes. How long does a meeting take? She finally stood up, grasping both of her cakes before walking out.

When she went to walk out, she heard a familiar voice shouting, and turned around to see Draco, his hands slammed down on the counter while he yelled at the lady that told her to wait. Her heart leaped, eyes still watering.
