"Come on Ashwee!! We are going to be late if you don’t do your business already,” Olivia sighed looking down at her cute little poodle with a pink bow in her hair. She took her last sip of her coffee and moved her Gucci glasses over her eyes. She picked up her dog and started her car as she took off down the road to New York.

“That Strawberry Smoothie will be 4.59,” said the cashier at Starbucks. “Thank you so much,” Brooklyn exclaimed as she payed the small, black-haired girl. As Brooklyn walked out of the store, she took a glance around her at the beautiful city of New York, her dream state! Sipping her Smoothie, she glanced at her watch to find she was late to the orientation at her new school, SDA College! It was her first year and she can’t miss it.

Two hours later, Olivia arrived at the college and ran into the reception area. After getting stuck in a ditch, and spilling her coffee all over her, she had finally made it. As she rushed in the door to make it to the new student meeting, she was stopped by an old, grey haired women with her hair in bun so perfect it looked like it gave her a headache. She had pointy, red glasses and a long nose, and sat perched on a chair staring at Olivia and something else behind her down. “Now where do you think you two are going Miss Olivia and Miss Brooklyn,”  she announced in a booming voice as she slid her glasses down her nose and glared at the girls. Brooklyn?!?! She’s here, thought Olivia. “I am sorry Miss I wa-” Brooklyn tried to explain what had happened but stopped when she saw Olivia. They both hugged each other. “I haven't seen you since the beginning of summer!” Brooklyn smiled. “I know! It’s-,” Olivia started but was cut off by the old woman. “Is that a dug?!” said the mean woman. “No, it’s a dog.” Olivia corrected. “I know it’s a dug,” said the lady. “A dog.” Olivia corrected. "Ugh! Now get to your rooms and get that, thing, away from me! Seeing as you two missed the orientation, let’s hope you make it to dinner which is at 7 o'clock SHARP!" The old women said as she typed in computer, "SDA Competition Team tryouts for dance will be in the beginning of September." "Thanks," the girls said dryly as they started to drag their suitcases up the stairs. “Little girls, little girls, everywhere I turn I can see them,” the old woman slurred.

Ten flights of stairs later, they realized there was an elevator. They both laughed and shook their heads as they entered the elevator. Olivia's dog barking broke the silence. "Sorry about her, she's just excited," Olivia said while petting her dog and adjusting the bow on its head. "So am I! So what dorm room are you in?" Brooklyn asked Olivia while looking at her own schedule. "Um," Olivia looked down at her schedule, "Dorm room 68". "Same!!!! I am so happy they let us be in the same dorm," Brooklyn smiled and Olivia shook her head, agreeing.

Olivia went to unlock the room while Brooklyn tried to hold all the suitcases. "We are in! Wow it's beautiful in here." Olivia said. The tall buildings gazed over the roads, as the lights lit up the city. "Better start unpacking, we have a few minutes until diner." Brooklyn said as she opened her suitcases. Wondering where to start first, she opened her suitcase labeled "Memories". Taking out pictures, books and her stuffed animals of Dora and Swiper from Dora the Explorer. She placed Swiper next to her Cruella De Ville themed MAC Computer. Then she placed her pictures in the bed stand next to the windows overlooking the city. She stopped suddenly in her tracks when she found a couple pictures of herself and Olivia dancing to their best routines to Chandelier, Pills N' Potions, and Wings. She smiled as she remembered how much fun those routine were. Olivia, in the mean time, got out Ashwee's pink bed and laid it against the wall. After that task, she put up three Pretty Little Liar posters as they were obsessed with the show. I mean, who wouldn’t want to know who A is?? She then went to her brown, butter leather bag and rummaged through it. She then picked up a stuffed trout. Her most prized possession, after Ashwee of course. Then the girls started the hard task of unpacking clothes, clothes and more clothes.

Thirty Minutes Later

"Oh no, not again! OLIVIA WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE FOR DINNER!" Brooklyn screamed as she hurriedly tried to unpack her last few shirts. "Shoot," Olivia said as she looked for a pair of shoes. "Come on let's go," Brooklyn rushed to open the door as Olivia slipped on a pair of flip-flops. 6:59 the time read, they would be late if they didn't hurry. The girls looked at each other then ran towards the elevator to get to the dining hall.
