"It ain't much Mary but it'll get us through this week, it's all I can do until the little one arrives." Said Richard Parker staring at the paper notes on the old wooden table. "Don't worry Richard. It'll be enough."
Mary replied smiling at her exhausted husband happily.Richard Parker (a brilliant scientist currently employed at stark tech) worked many shifts a week to bring in enough money for his wife and their unborn child- On the measley morning of August 1st 2001- the child was born. Peter Benjamin Parker, a kid who would face many difficulties during his life. Staring into the cot over his adorable face Richard and Mary had no idea, that the next few years would be the worst of their lives. Another week passed. Richard and Mary gathered again at the wooden table that sat in the kitchen just like they did every week. "It's ridiculous hunny, I work more hours than anyone in the building and I might as well be here at home" Richard spat at his wife. "Richard, calm down. I know, I know. You complaining isn't going to do anything but give me a sore head. Be patient, your time will come."
They both stared at the money on the table. It was pathetic really. Everyone knew it. Money was a fragile topic in the Parker house and no one really knew what Richard did for a living. No one but Richard and Mary and of course You. "I'm fed up, I quit.I have nothing left to say to stark. I'll do it tomorrow. I'm sure Ben has a reasonable job for me where I can make a decent salary.Benjamin parker was the older and wiser brother of Richard. He had a steady job in the amusement park, which Rich was quite certain would be more entertaining than at the mansion. "don't talk to Stark yet. Give it a month. I'm sure he will come to his senses" she replied.
Peter stirred in his cot, Mary calmly arose from her chair and made her way to the kitchen where she tended to him-"is someone hungry?" teased the boys mother. She grabbed a bottle and stuffed it in Peter's tiny mouth. He gulped it down clearly enjoying every ounce of it. "Mary, I'm taking a walk to clear my head. I'll be back before dinner." Shouted Richard banging the door behind him. "Someone's a grumpy pants isn't he pete" Mary whispered to her son. She placed Peter into the cot and wandered into the kitchen to prepare supper. Richard returned an hour later. He was not alone though, from behind his back he pulled a scruffy dog who was obviously a stray from the street. "This is sandwich, our new family member" he said with a grin. The boys father set down the dog and made his way to the sofa. "Richard, what are you bringing a filthy mongrel into the house for? Dogs can have all sorts of disease. Peter's only a week old!"
"Hunny calm down, he's fine. The dog won't bother with Peter anyways." Sandwich was now sniffing round the boy's cot barking with excitement. "You want to bet" Mary responded with a slight giggle.
"Anyways dinner's ready."
"Great, what are we having?" Rich said evidently in a better mood. Mary smiled and led him into the kitchen 'ur favourite' she replied. What idea had he had or what had happened that turned Richard from the sour faced sir he left as? the idea was greater than anything every thought off before- the idea was what would make young Parker an ordinary boy in queens turn into the most popular kid in the world.
