My walk home was begging to become hassle trying to keep cover from the water as if I was a witch who would melt if I touched a single drop. As I looked up to see if the sky had any chance of turning fair, the clouds grew gray and the slightly fresh breeze from before became a mighty wind that made me wish I brought my gray and purple sweater as armor to shield myself from Mother Nature. My body rocked from one side of the sidewalk to the other every time the wind blew a gust and I wondered if sooner or later my mother would notice that I wasn't home from school on time.
To warm my body up from the chilly weather I put my hands in my jean pockets and unsurprisingly only found three things; tin soda can tab, a trident gum wrapper, and a bent colored paperclip that I found on the floor at school. Anything that I believe could be useful I pick up. Even if it's a broken pen, I'll take it apart and use the insides.
I wasn't paying any attention to my surroundings except the floor and luckily found a screw while walking past my school. A new item to my collection I suppose. I wondered if it began to one of the buses from my school that took me home, considering that I had just passed one of the two school parking lots. This screw was different though, it wasn't as light as most screws and I stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed their was one big thorn from a rose stuck in one of the grooves on the side! I had a rare allergy to most flowers including roses and this freaked me out! I screamed, jumped and threw the screw all at the same time and accidentally hit a car exiting in the second parking lot. The sharp screw managed to hit the front windshield and shockingly crack the entire glass into a thousand pieces!
The sight seemed to happen in slow motion and I remember every single detail.
1: The glass broke
2: The lady in the car closed her eyes
3: I screamed and shut my eyes half-way
4: The car slid on the wet street and swerved my way
5: I hugged myself and prepared to get hit
6: That's when I knew everything was bound to change
