The loud sighs of police men fill the room as another 2 was killed, as all the eyes were on the tv screen, cracks of fingers and backs were heard from all the stressed out people, some stare up at the ceiling, either punching someone or crying.

Minseok stayed quiet like most times, his eyes shiny from the site of the T.V. brightness as he gets up with a grunting sound, and cracks his back from the sitting.

"wow, what surprising news." He laughs quietly, while taking out his phone as he admires the picture of his mother on his wallpaper.

He punches a phone number onto his phone as he brings his phone onto his ear.

"Hello?" He asks as he walks away from the conference room, smiling.

"Missed you too babe." I hear him say as I hear a smirk play in his voice, seems that he's been fed up with all the dying, getting the same news for the past year.

I am also.

Minseok hasn't talked to Jongdae for a while. He complains about how he wants to see him and how he's so fed up with all the work. He's also worried about Jongdae. What if one day, the murderer will catch him. He lost his mother, he doesn't want the love of his life to leave too, he doesn't want to feel the feeling of inevitably, loneliness, especially when one is reminded of his own mortality as well.

I quickly bring up my hands, reaching the sky, feeling automatic spring-back contraction to my lower back, groaning as I hear loud cracks. I get up, feeling a slight pain on my butt from all the sitting.

I glance at the city from the highest point of the building, which was the place the conference was held. Staring at the low lights, some of the small room from the distance, most lights seem dying and frail.

Everyone was terrified since half of Seoul's population disappeared like a flash of lightning.

I bring my head back, and stared at the-now-cleared hallway which was once full of stressed out, hopeless men.

"You're still here?" An echo from the end of the hallway calls out, making my head snap at the voice.

"Hm?" I question staring at the figure walking towards me.

"Sorry, I got carried away." He replies.

"Welcome back, careless Minseok." I laugh making him pout.

"I'm going to hang out with Chen tomorrow, you can join if you want." He suggest as he rests his head on his arms.

"Rather not, I don't wanna be a third wheel, practically staring at you guys make out for the rest of the day" I frown making him burst out with laughter.

"Alright, but you should really do something. The boss man is giving some of the people that's been on this case for a year a break since the CBI joined the case." Minseok smirked as he jump and down.

It seems the stress has gotten to our heads, making us lose our sense of sanity while other people are being brutally murdered.

Minseok isn't wrong though. Ever since the start of this case, we haven't had one single break. 5 hours of sleep each day, either at our desks or on a couch in the office if you're lucky. Sometimes people sleep on top of each other, heads on top of other heads, but not with complete strangers. Kim Jongdae (Chen) would sometimes come to Minseok's office when it's been a day where the other officers take over the case. They would make out the whole entire day, Chen placing hickey's all over Minseok's body as I stay stare at the two while trying to do my work, it's awkward as hell.

Watching the two laugh and giggle about their days and how everything is getting worse or how they missed each other made me notice how lonely I was. All of my friends have either locked themselves in their houses or is at work.

Ever since this started, the communication between all of us has been broken.

Being terrified of something is a push back in my life.

The feeling of being lonely is really uncomfortable, it doesn't feel like I've been torn up, it feels like this little spot near my heart feels like nothing or feels cold and hot at the same time, with slight ice forming around it.

But since we have a day off tomorrow, it's not going to be as bad as these other days.

To be honest, it's a royal pain in the ass, these all-nighters every night, has driven everyone to the part of insanity.

I may go home and sleep for the whole entire no-work-day, or stay up all night and sleep in the next day.

I jump in excitement for the first time in years.

"I'll see you." Minseok says knocking me out of my thought. I stare at him again which lead him to give me a 'what the hell are you doing' look as I laugh it off while I wave at him.

I quickly jumped toward the elevator, while Minseok muttered about how "I need to take the stairs because Chen doesn't like elevators." and left with small exchanges of byes.

The quick trip down in the elevator passed time as I jump at the loud ding.

haven't heard that in awhile.

I exit the lift, eyeing the exit and the fresh air that has been blocked out from my lungs.

I smile at the men near the door, keeping criminals out at all times especially at a time like this.

"Finally going out?" Another man at the door asks me.

"Yeah." I breath out.

"Stay safe." Everyone smiles as he opens the door, leading me outside.

"I will, and thanks." I smile back as I stare at the night sky filled with stars.

I skip down the road, hoping that a taxi would pass by and pick me up. It's rare for people to be driving taxi's though, from all the things going on in the city at the moment.

The police man from before taps on my shoulder not a few minutes after, asking if I needed a ride. From the timing I'm in right now, the right thing to do is agree to the request.

I nod my head at the man smiles, taking my wrist and drags me to his car.

The forcing shocks me but I rub it off since most people at the office are caring and helpful. I'm sure they all can be trustful.

I take a glance at the man opening the car doors to let me in. I throw a thanks to him as he runs back to the drivers side.

"You're welcome." He replies back as he shuts his door.

"Where to?" He asks as he smirks.

The man had big eyes as his hair, shifted off to the side, covering them slightly, while he wears his normal police attire.

"I'll show you the way to my house." I shifted in my seat, feeling a bit more comfortable.

"Okay. You have a name?" He asks while smiling.

"Yeah. It's Kyungsoo D.O." I reply back "You?" I continue.

"Kim."

"Kim Joonmyun."
