"You wouldn't believe the day I had," said covid as he walked in.
Covid had a fantastic day at work today, he got the last approval he needed for a whole new variant that will destroy hope and happiness until, at least next spring. Covid couldn't be happier.
"Hey, great, you are here, just in time," Said the war in Ukraine
"Hi, guys...Hmm, wh...what are you doing here?" covid said, little anxiously.
"Sit down, we need to talk with you," The civil war in Syria said, "it's an intervention, you are addicted to spotlight, and we must talk about it."
"Me?!" said Covid surprised, addicted to the spotlight? What are you talking about? I'm doing a great job at ruining people's lives as we agreed! They hate me, the entire civilization, well except these zoom guys, but the rest, they hate me! I kill people, people are losing all of their money, their health, physical and mental! I am doing a great job; you should be thanking me!"
"Covid" subprime interfere at the hit of his speech. " I know what it's like, I know this feeling, I was on top of the world back in 2007, people lost their jobs, their homes, their joy. It's an amazing feeling, I can assure you that, but you must give space to other major life crisis events.
"He's right," Said the war in Ukraine, " Soon, it's going to be my turn, you can't come up with a new variant now, I have been waiting for this for so long, it took years of practice from me, I have tons of bad news to spread around, people are going to get so sad and disappointed from the world, for at least month until they will become apathetic again. And now, you are ruining my shot!" The war in Ukraine almost shouted, staring into Covid's eyes.
"You can't be serious, guys. I have been doing the best job since WW2, these stupid people finally care about something, they don't come out of their houses, they gained weight, they are making bread out of boredom. I am winning this, I mean. WE are winning this. Our goal was to ruin people's lives, wasn't it? So why are you so mad, I am the only one who's doing the right job in here"
"ENOUGH!" said climate change "You are controlling all sadness in this world, it's wide enough to have all of us in"
"Great, so you are welcome to join me," said Covid passionately.
"NO!" climate change said. "We have agreed on being a team this century, we wouldn't make the mistakes they did last time, like the atomic bomb and the world war at the same time, it was stupid, childish, we are better than it."
"The thing is, Covid," said the war in Ukraine again "We are a team, in a team, a real team, of major historical events, that love and respect each other, there is no place for someone to overcome the other on purpose."
"Yes," said the civil war in Syria. "And if you don't mind of me adding, you got to have effects on the entire population, not only minorities no one cares about, you won the west, let us win the rest, let us sow seeds for new disaster, together.
"We are a team" Climate change interrupted again, "and in a team, we work together, if we join our forces, listen to one another, we'll have the century no one will forget, wreak havoc no one have seen before, you just need to let other some space, to express themselves".
It was quiet, Covid didn't know what to say anymore. He looked at his friends. They were angry, he could see it in their eyes.
"I am sorry, but I am doing a great job. I don't understand why you want to stop me from doing it" Covid said after a long silence.
"We want to work as a team and ruin the world together," the civil war in Syria said.
