IF THERE WAS ONE THING JOSEPHINE SINCLAIR LEARNT, it was that the stars were cruel. The stars planned out each and every person's life, well before they are even born, and they did not take lightly to people going against their fates.
Josie's father had gone against his fate. He was meant to stick by his friends while fighting in the Wizarding War, protecting them from the horrors of war. He was meant to help Valerie SInclair as they raised their daughter, who was the light of their lives. There was a whole list of things that he was meant to do, but Peter Pettigrew was not meant to become a Death Eater who got all his friends killed.
Josie hated being the traitor's daughter; she hated knowing that her father had the blood of her best friend's parents on his hands for the rest of his life. She hated wondering how many families got torn apart because of Peter's actions, and wondering how many innocent people had died because of him. She was a murder's daughter, and she hated it.
The stars are not forgiving of those who go against their fates. They are cruel, punishing those who defy them in the most hurtful ways. It was well known that the most important thing in Peter's life was his daughter, and so the stars had cursed her for her father's actions.
Josie Sinclair was born to die.
