When Rick found her she wanted to run away because if she ran she wouldn't have to lose anyone.
She was a free spirit.
She didn't belong to anyone or anything because she constantly was moving to different woods and different camps.
Her name was Odette and originally she was from England but ran when she was sixteen when her mom died.
When the world began to end she burned her house and left.
She spent years alone making friends with animals but that youth and innocence burned once she found a walker and a needle in its pocket.
She began injecting herself with small portions of their blood giving her the virus but not enough to turn her or even infect her.
Just enough to make her immune to the virus and to be able to call the dead.
The walkers could be controlled by her because to them she was like them.

When Rick found her he was scavenging and had to pin her to a tree to be able to talk to her.
He made her cone to Alexandria with him.
She hated Alexandria.
She felt like a dog in a cage scratching and biting the bars to get out.
She had friends but she still felt trapped.
Judith clinged onto her like she was her mom.
Odette reminded her of Lori from the stories Rick told her.
Odette wasn't like Lori, she was more selfless and isolated.
Odette also knew how to stay alive alone without relying on a man.
Daryl and Negan were the only men she could stand to be around in the harsh weeks and months.
She was a lot younger than her two boys.
She was 29 but it didn't matter.
She was a lot more mature than many 50-year-olds.

She woke up late in the night with a pounding headache.
She got up and got dressed needing to go hunt before she thought about escaping.
She didn't want to stay in Alexandria.
She didn't care if Judith screamed for her to return or if people went looking for her.
She was trapped.
Odette walked outside and walked to the vent as everyone slept and jumped into it.
She walked through catching a few walkers that let her pass them like she was royalty.
she climbed a ladder to the outside.
She smiled and ran before someone dragged her back.
She ran into the forest and climbed a tree so she could lay down and watch the stars.
She let herself get lost in nature as she watched the sky move with each minute.
She then jumped down and walked to a lake watching some fish skim around in the murky water.
She sat down and watched the walkers walk around her.
To others they were terrifying but to her, they were still people with hunger they didn't understand.
She placed her hand in the water feeling the hairs of a water bloated walker.
She smiled and giggled.
"Come out please, I need a friend," said Odette.
Odette stood up and watched as the walker clawed its way onto the grass.
It was ugly and bloated from the water but she saw a victim that drowned himself in a state of panic.
"Hello, let's get you something to eat," said Odette walking into the forest with the walker following her.
She got her bow off her back and an arrow and shot a deer.
She then watched the walker rip the animal apart feeding from it's delicate free body.
she smiled and threw her head back missing this.
No rules, nothing holding her back.
Just the forest around her.
She missed sleeping where she wanted with who she wanted, eating what she wanted, killing what she wanted and just saying fuck it to life.
She was incredible.
Her personality shined along with her.
She stayed surprisingly safe and healthy through the end of the world.
It made her wonder what it would be like to have someone else around.
Someone to be her pillow and home.
Someone that didn't push her to stay in a home when all she wanted to do was run and enjoy life while she was still here.
No one can have fun cooped up with rules and other people stopping them.
