Athena's POV

In: San Francisco

Athena found herself in a strange room, surrounded by unfamiliar walls that seemed to close in on her. The air was thick with tension, and shadows danced menacingly in the corners. A distant sound of footsteps echoed, growing louder and more ominous with each passing moment.

"No, no... This can't be happening," she whispers to herself.

Suddenly, the scene shifted, and she was thrust into a room filled with echoes of painful memories. The walls seemed to whisper haunting secrets, and the atmosphere grew suffocating.

"Stop! Please, just stop!" she pleads.

As the nightmare intensified, Athena's breathing became rapid, and her body drenched in cold sweat. The weight of the past pressed upon her, a relentless force threatening to drag her into the abyss of her own fears.

Meanwhile, Savannah, concerned about the call she received from the station, decided to check on Athena. As she approached the guest room, she couldn't shake off the suspicion that something was amiss.

"Athena? It's Savannah. Can I come in?" softly knocks on the door.

When there was no response, Savannah gently pushed the door open. The sight that greeted her sent a shiver down her spine. Athena was caught in the grip of a tormenting nightmare, her features contorted with fear.

"Athena, wake up. It's just a dream." Savannah Sofly shakes her

Savannah approached the bed and gently shook Athena, trying to rouse her from the haunting visions that held her captive.

"No, no, please don't..." Athena stares awake.

"Hey, it's okay. You're safe now. It was just a bad dream." Savannah comfortingly says

Athena, disoriented and still caught in the remnants of the nightmare, gradually became aware of her surroundings. Savannah, her concern evident, sat beside Athena, offering a comforting presence.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you," she whispers.

"You don't have to apologise, Athena. Nightmares happen. Do you want to talk about it?" savannah says

Athena hesitated for a moment, her eyes reflecting the vulnerability she seldom revealed. In that quiet exchange, a bond deepened between them—oone that transcended the formalities of social work. Savannah, now more determined than ever to protect the fragile trust that had blossomed, awaited Athena's response.

"No, I don't want to talk about it. It's just a bad dream." Athena says nervously.

"Alright, we don't have to. How about we take your mind off things for a bit? I got a call from the station earlier."

Savannah's words piqued Athena's interest, diverting her attention from the lingering traces of the nightmare.

"From the station? What did they say?" I curiously asked.

"Well, it seems you have brothers. They've been found, and they're willing to take you in," Savannah shared, watching Athena's reaction closely.

A mix of emotions flickered across Athena's face—surprise, curiosity, and a hint of apprehension.

"Brothers? I didn't know I had any."

"Yes. I don't know the full backstory, but just that they have been searching for you for the past decade or so," Savannah said.
