-Y/Ns backstory-

Things have been hard recently , my boyfriend breaking up with me and me getting fired from the only job I had that paid me well enough to feed me and my little sister (Jayla) . my father started drinking ever since my mother died he only cared about himself and his alcohol hardly ever paying attention to me and Jayla, he always spends his money on his alcohol and clubs never giving us anything.

-Y/N POV-

7:00AM

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-

I groan and smack my alarm clock as Jayla runs into my room and starts jumping on my bed then landing straight on top of me

Y/n "AAAAAGH JAYLA GET OFF"

Jayla giggles*

I blink my eyes rapidly and check the clock to see it's 7:30 ... HOLD ON 7:30 ALREADY?! I jump out of bed and brush my teeth I look up to my mirror and see my hair sticking up and my eye bags getting worse every day gosh... after I brushed my teeth I grab my hair brush and started brushing my hair I decided to just put my hair in a bun because everytime i take my hair out it's too bushy and I look like Tarzan... I go to my wardrobe and scan through my clothes... hm... I pick out baggy jeans with a white croptop and a brown cardigan to top it off I rush downstairs to see my father on the couch snoring away I roll my eyes in disgust I prepare breakfast for me and jayla and eat as fast as I could after I finished eating i get Jaylas backpack and head out the house , since I dont have a car I have to walk to Jaylas school which is 20 minutes away from my school...

-At school-

Ugh finally..

I look back to see Megumi, my best friend since kindergarten

Y/n "Hey Megumi.."

Megumi "what's up with yo- oh my.. when was the last time you slept?!"

Y/n "well I couldn't really sleep for the last couple of days since you know, broke up with me and me losing my job..

Megumi "oh right.. Well y/n cmon I'm sure you'll find someone better and also about you losing your job my fathers friend actually is hiring an personal assistant so maybeeeeeee..."

Y/n "I doubt I'll get that job anyway I've been applying and applying and all of them get denied and tbh I don't really want to get a jo-"

Megumi "oh come on y/n just at least apply for this one"

Y/n "No Megumi."

Megumi "I'll tell my father to tell his friend to accept you?"

Y/n "Fine.."
