Chapter one; a "casual" conversation.

"Xinyan is just the greatest! Her music is the best, I know we have basically the opposite music styles but she's just to amazing at rock! I always listen to her when I'm stressed, it clears my mind and motivates me!"

Barbara stated while rambling on about this supposedly "best of her kind" Rock musician.

"Uh, Barbara? Didn't you say this was going to be a conversation about ways for me to become a knight?" Noelle questioned.

"I'm sorry it's just, we barely spend time together because of our jobs, so I though this would be a catch up, not a 'omg I'm in love with this chick I've only met once' type of conversation". Noelle replied in a dissatisfied and annoyed and stern tone.

"I'm sorry Noelle, I truely am. But if you met her" Barbara answered in her iconic victim sounding voice, before being cut of by Noelle.

"No buts! We've planned this date for over a month! I've tried so hard to try and have a good conversation without any disruptions! BUT NOOOOO, you had to make it all about your crush on this xinyan girl!" Noelle screamed in sorrow, and anger.

"I just wanted to hang out with you for a change, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have acted that..." Noelle apologised.

She wasn't in the right mind set at this time, but she did make sense. She worked around thirty present harder for the last month, just so she had time for this catch up.

Barbara quickly noticed that this was her fault and she was just about to apologise, when she remembered Noelle used the word 'date'. She soon became flustered, "Did Noelle think this was a date?!?" She continuously questioned in her mind. Not focusing on the girl right in front of her.

Because of that Noelle started to blame herself, first wondering why Barbara wasn't paying attention to her, who was clearly on the verge of crying. Before letting her insecurities kick in, and she starts to blame herself.

"We wanted to talk about hobbies, and being a fan of a musician is a hobby! This is all my fault" Noelle exclaimed, blaming everything on her. "Everyone makes mistakes, and I just did... I'm going to leave!" she did incredibly embarrassed, thinking to herself that she's worrying about absolutely nothing.

The idol was in shock, she knew it wasn't Noelle fault. It was here's but why is she blaming it on herself? She began to chuckle about Noelle being embarrassed, "Your incredibly cute Noelle." Without realising she said it out loud.

Noelles face began to light up like a torch, being called cute wasn't out of the ordinary for her. But being called cute by Barbara especially was. Having her crush complement her about how adorable she was, lightened her mood up by a margin.

To make the situation better (?), Barbara have had a small crush on Noelle but nothing more then a high school crush, maybe confessing at the end of the year. But if they say no, remaining friends.

Noelle ran away for in embarrassment, "I must leave... BYE!" She said becoming a tomato faced maid.

Barbara laughed quietly at the maids actions, not in a high school mean girl way, but in a way of comfort. She wondered if third was the 'date' that Noelle wanted.

(Now this is going to go into some fannon storyline. Do not use this as cannon. This was just a head cannon I made up)

It was 1869 in Mondstadt, and a baby around the age of 3 was dropped of by a mysterious women at the gates of the city of Freedom.
To this day no one could tell who "dropped her off". But they did have a feature which was obvious. They had bright red horns, and definitely didn't speak Monstadtian.

The "beast" claimed that they was to poor to look after this child. And hope that someone in Mondsadt would look after her baby.

Even with the child's guardian begging for someone to talk the poor child, and give her the life she deserves no one answered the things wishes.

Even couples who longed for a child, didn't want her. Because of the child's grey hair, and believing the child would dishonour their family.

But soon enough the Gunnhildr Clans newest heirs, two children by the name of Jean and Barbara took pity on the child. Barbara wanted to make the child her sister, but their parents refused.

But they did also pity the child, having a child around Barbara's age could possibly be good. And adopting a child whom no one wanted would be good for their clans image. And thus they named her Noelle, because Barbara though it was a cute name.

They decided to make the child a maid, someone who would work for the sister. First raise her to at least seven or eight, then throw her into the real world.

The parents plan worked smoothly for ten years, before their divorce struck, neither of them really wanted Noelle.

Asking around for who would want this child, the child realised she was never viewed as family from their perspective. Even though she was raised as a half Gunnhildr.

Her view for reality only being ten, would change drastically. Knowing she'll never grow up as a child like others, but as a servant.

But she always wanted to thank the Gunnhildr, and one of their maids suggested becoming a knight.
The K.O.F and the Gunnhildr clan always had connections. So becoming a knight in the Gunnhildr family became to norm, and was seen as a successful life Choice.

As the child lost hope, a man the same age as Jean who she would frequently see, a person named Diluc was willing to adopt her. Or more specifically his maids were ready to adopt her.

Noelle would frequently she Diluc and a man who had blue hair vist Jean often to play, while she swept the floors of her masters Estate.
But after awhile Diluc randomly stopped coming over to hang, only ever for financial business. She never questioned why, and neither did Barbara.

But the girls did hear Jean and Diluc fighting next to two males, one with blue and the other blond hair.
Diluc seemed to be missing something. Jean not approving of his 'distaste' in the knights.

Noelle never told what happened, even still this day.

But now she was standing right in-front of this Diluc who she saw as this person of achievement, within the people of Freedom. As she stood face to face with him, she stepped back and bowed. "Thank you for taking me in, I do very appreciate it" she said in a dead monotoned voice.

The situations of the two were completely different, one hates by many and seen as a outcast. The other viewed as every females man of their dreams.
Two very different, but yet similar tales.

As she lifted her head up, Noelle heard stomping surround her. Footsteps running, squealing, and excitement around her.

Five other maids circled her, all with gigantic smiles on their faces.
"Diluc you struck gold with this one!"
"She's so cute! I can't believe she's my daughter now!"
"OUR DAUGHTER!"
"Communist much..."
"I mean technically she's Dilucs daughter..."
Silence followed after the latest 'statement'.

"Well Noelle, these will be your 'Mother's' from now on. Even though I will be your legal guardian I won't see you as a daughter nor you will see me as a father." Diluc stated in his casual dead like tone.

"Absolutely, sir. It will be a pleasure to work along side you and your maids". Noelle replied.

"Seriously Diluc, she's a child. Try to not bring up the fact your entire family's dead up next would ya?"
A maid said sarcastically and obviously annoyed at Diluc.

"I'm not!" The same man will blue hair pushed in.
"This isn't about you, Kaeya". The emo red hair replied.
The blue hair pirate just scoffed. While Noelle questioned why Genshin did a cross over with One Piece and add a pirate character to their roster:
