Crystal Monster of Corona Tower

The Beginning

The princess of the castle made boy at only fourteen first royal alchemist. He felt such honor. But people thought it was foolish idea to give it such child that can cause such danger. He was set prove them wrong in his lab on the one the highest towers he got to work on some crystals he found. He pours couple drops on one then suddenly the rock turned humanoid being. The being was dark crystal skin and glowing hair that reached all the way to the floor. Varian felt so happy that he able creature such being. He wanted show the being everything help the being to adapt before letting the being go out the world. He already teaching the being who acted like it just born. He taught her many words and was going get something new from outside the tower. He didn't realize he left the door open but like curious kid the being ran out the tower wanting explore. The screams could be heard as It scared the whole castle to see such monster around all the being was doing was walking whole castle grounds like little kid wanting play with new toys. Varian tried calm the people down but they ingored him as the guards surround the being. Varian stands in front the being "Don't hurt her!. The princess saw what was going on had to solve this. At first she was choosing to destory the creature before it causes trouble in the kingdom but Varian begged to spare HER. Princess was shocked it seems he treated the monster as little sister. It even called out big brother. She sighs only willing show mercy this once"Fine...keep it...but please keep it in the tower....it doesn't belong here...normally I don't think like this but I see no proof this thing not dangerous or just playing us like fool..." She spoke bit cold. Varian nods and takes her to tower. Even her husband was shocked that she be this cold but understood since she was becoming queen soon without given a choice due the tragedy the fell before her not long ago. She even made lie to her people that the creature was destroyed which seem so wrong her to do though to her felt Necessary to keep her law of no magic in place. Varian raised the being and called her Alice. He even figures out a way use her power to make herself human skin but it only last intill night fall seem too risky for her test it out to the world. Varian taught her alchemy all the things about science and magic related. He always told her that she was never to go to the outside world ever for it was dangerous. Though he couldn't stop her mind growing the want and desires to do so plus she was getting at that age that she wanted to go see the world outside. Especially the Moon Festival that she heard so much about.

Varian was working on little project before leaving to the festival being now royal alchemist he had more responsibility to watch out for magic the danger of outside people coming with it. He knew that Alice wanted go out badly be with other people it just too dangerous Rapunzel already made strict rules on ever allowing people find out she showed mercy to what Rapunzel called a monster. He didn't want others think the same.

Alice was twiddling her fingers and walks up to Varian. As it was another day that she would ask Varian if she finally allowed go outside the tower and castle grounds. "Why can I go to the festival..maybe....people will accept me-"

When Varian heard this he Interrupted and  yells at her "No! It's dangerous! They would hurt you....I can't bare if you..." he sighs and stands up to cup her cheeks starts to sing "The world is cruel. The world is wicked. It I alone you can trust in this kingdom. I'm your only friend..." he lets go her cheeks and takes her hand leading her to the window. "I who keep you, teach you, feed you, dress you. I who look upon you without fear.
How can I protect you, girl, unless you
Always stay in here
Away in here.." he gently sings.

Varian felt terrible having tell her this but it was for her protection "remember what I said about who you are..."

He starts to sing again "You are not human"

Alice sings sadly "I am not human"

Varian continues to sing "and You are crystal"

Alice sings "I'm crystal."

Varian wraps his arms around and sings "And these are fears
For which the world
Shows little pity
You do not comprehend"

Alice wraps her arms around him "You are my one defender"

Varian let's go and points out the window "Out there they'll revile you
As a monster"

Alice looks at the window "To them I am a monster..."

Varian pets top her head touching light made glowing thing that seem her hair "Out there they will hate
And scorn and jeer."

Alice looks down sings sadly "Only a monster.."

Varian puts his fingers under her chin to have her look at him. "Why invite their calumny
And consternation
Stay in here
Be faithful to me"

Alice looks at him "I'm faithful"

Varian sings "Grateful to the Queen."
Alice frowns but sings "I'm grateful"
Varian cups her face again and sings "Do as I say
Obey"
Varian and Alice they sing together "And stay
In here..."

Varian didn't want make her feel this way but it only way so he sighs as he says to her "Look this your own good...no one can know your still alive....please I know what best for you..." he grabs his stuff and walks out the lab.

Alice watches him leave the lab and now she was all alone. Why couldn't she be free to meet the people. She sure they got know her then they may accept her. She softly sings "Safe behind these windows and these parapets of stone
Gazing at the people down below me" She opens the window to let sun shine on her skin.

"All my life I watch them as I hide up here alone
Hungry for the histories they show me
All my life I memorize their faces
Knowing them as they will never know me" she climbs on the roof to get even better view of the kingdom.

"All my life I wonder how it feels to pass a day
Not above them
But part of them" she twirls around the roof as she sings.

"And out there
Living in the sun
Give me one day out there
All I ask is one
To hold forever" she goes to spot on the tower roof where tiny balcony that she would grow her crystal flowers in sunlight and moonlight.

"Out there
Where they all live unaware
What I'd give
What I'd dare
Just to live one day out there" The flowers blooming brightly shinning the light and then she peaks down see servents of the castle.

"Out there among the lady waitings and the servents and the princess
Through the roofs and gables I can see them
Ev'ry day they shout and scold and go about their lives" she stands tall. Outside she looked like normal girl with long black hair tangled all over and bright purple eyes. Pretty much she long hair version of Snow White.

"Heedless of the gift it is to be them" she sings twirls around the roof and stretching her arms out.

"If I was in their skin
I'd treasure ev'ry instant" She climbs back down back to the lab almost swinging inside the window. Her dark crystal skin returns and glowing blue hair. Even her eyes glowing light blue.

"Out there
Strolling by the streets
Taste a morning out there" she Puts scarf around her head pretending be lady walking around the streets.

"Like ordinary woman
Who freely walk about there" she goes back to the window and her gray mouse friend, Jaq, goes on her shoulder.

"Just one day and then
I swear I'll be content
With my share" she Twirls around the lab as Jaq goes on the table watching his friend sing her sad song.

"Won't resent
Won't despair
Old and bent
I won't care" she falls on floor of pillows and looks at the cieling there is beautiful painting of sun and moon dancing together must have been there before Varian lab.

"I'll have spent
One day
Out there..." she pulls up hugs herself with herself as she finished her song.

"Just one day...please..."she whimpers cause her body wouldn't let her cry. It hurt to be alone and told that she had be away from making new friends. She could only hope for miracle that give her chance to be free.
