!This takes place Aftermath.!

.................;.................

The two were laying on a small wooden bed, topped by an old mattress and thick grey sheets. They covered themselves with two layers of blankets. The two men were cuddling close to each other, the taller one had his arm wrapped around the other's waist, as this one was being pulled close to his chest for warmth. Tim put his hand on Brian's, they both intertwined fingers. Brian softly rubbed his palm with his thumb, they were both snuggling amidst their deep sleep.

The freezing winter introduced itself with thunders since last night. Drops of water were frozen on the window, the wintry sun is the brightness of the day, taking center stage as the blooms of the summertime become a part of the soil. The sunshine and cold, the sparkle and the ice, somehow warm even when the north wind bites. There it is, the season with the shortest days and the lowest temperatures.

The small shack where Tim and Brian stayed was made of wood, it was a sort of challet, but less fancy or warm. The inside contained four walls, a bed, an old desk, a window and the two owners, of course.
It was 10:56AM. Brian woke up with a heavy sigh; his eyes were barely open, his nose was pink red from the cold, his dirty blond hair was messily ruffled from the profound sleep he was in. He never liked winter, his nose would always block and he barely had clothes to warm himself up with. One thing made him happy for sure, it was obviously the short chubby male who had his back facing Brian's chest, still holding his hand and enjoying his sleep. God, they would both swear that they hadn't slept for a damn while.

Brian gently and slowly pulled his arm away from Tim's waist, making sure he wouldn't wake him up. He sat up properly as the bed's wood creaked, he cringed at the noise and exhaled, running his hand through his soft caramel hair and yawning. Tim soon woke up due to not feeling Brian's chest's warmth on his back anymore. He turned to the other side and stared up at the other male, as he sighed and took the other's pillow to hug it tight. Brian chuckled at his behavior and snatched the pillow from him, throwing it across the room. "Not today, no." He spoke with a lazy smile that barely stretched his cheeks that were splattered with chocolate freckles that also reached his nose. "What? What's that for?" Tim replied with a grumpy and deep morning voice. "We're go-going out. I need to- to- to take you somewhere." Brian, after the issue, struggled a lot with talking since he did not interact, literally, with anyone for years. He is thankful for Tim's long patience with him.

The short chubby male got up from the bed and stretched his arms, squeezing his eyes shut, followed with a soft tired grunt. He didn't feel like going out or even seeing strange and unfamiliar faces. His anxiety would grow and he'd be awfully embarrassed to put Brian in a such situation. "You know I'm not a fan of those, I'd rather stay here-" - "And starve?" He got interrupted by the blondie who was already wearing his dead-yellow hoodie on top of his black short-sleeved turtle neck. "What are you on about?" He narrowed his eyes at him. "I wa-want us to go somewhere and e-eat, is- is it that bad?" His smile stretched more as he wore his fingerless gloves. "Brian, we don't have money." - "Who said we-we're paying?" The still unprepared man crossed his eyebrows in confusion. "Begging for your pardon?" - "Get ready and- and meet me outside!" He saluted with two fingers and opened the door, letting the cold wind invade the small place. He quick closed it and waited outside. Tim exhaled from his mouth, a sort of smoke following, as if he just exhaled a cloud. He wore his jacket, full covering gloves, he's worn his boots and got out from the shack.

Brian offered his hand to Tim, as this flushed one gladly held it and they both walked to town. There weren't too much people, the snowfall was slow and soft, however, still not fitting to Brian's liking. The snow crunched under their boots after each step. Tim looked around, clearing his dry throat and turning the 'holding hands' into hugging Brian's whole arm, for both warmth and comfort. "There w-we are." Brian flashed an illuminating smile. "..Coffee place?" - "Mhm! I wanted y-y-you to have a co-cozy morning!" Tim couldn't help himself, he rubbed his sleepy eyes while letting a soft chuckle escape his mouth. "You're adorable." He caressed his taller boyfriend's cheek with his forefinger as that one's heart warmed up regardless of the glacial cold. "Bigger n-ne-news, their coffee is free." Tim's eyebrows raised as realization hit him. "I-I-I'm not a thief, darling. Even if m-my life is on the edge o-of it." Tim smiled, nodding to confirm Brian's honest words. "You're a good person." He concluded, as they both walked in the balmy place that didn't contain too much comers.

Tim and Brian ended up going out of the heated place with each hand holding a cup of coffee. They both headed back to the woods and decided to sit on a bench and relax. The two stared at each other and shared a smile before they started with their coffees. Brian crossed his legs on the bench while Tim simply added a leg on his other thigh. The same one sipped from his hot and delicious coffee, as he turned his head to look at Brian but that one was already contemplating him. Tim nearly choked on the drink, he covered his mouth and coughed, ending it with a sigh. Brian burst out laughing while his eyes were squeezed shut. Tim frowned slightly and glanced away, only to end up shaking his head and giggling at his partner's behavior. "You're so fxcking immature." He joked as Brian's laughter got louder, Tim following him with another quiet giggle. He closed his eyes and took another sip of his coffee, as Brian remained silent again, drinking his own heated liquid as well. As soon as Tim opened his eyes, Brian was still sitting in the same position but turned to him. The blondie held his chin with his thumb resting above it yet his index under it, he lifted Tim's head up and tilted his own. They were both quiet. Tim didn't hate it; in fact, he adored this soft gesture Brian does often. He knows what's coming with this move.

Brian approached his face closer to Tim's as both of them closed their eyes at the same time, the taller one gently pressed his lips against the other's, soon tilting his head to deepen the kiss. Tim's hands slid up to rest on Brian's thighs as they soon broke the kiss, their faces were still close as ever. Brian placed another kiss and ended up softly biting Tim's bottom lip. He soon let go and leaned further from him, staring down at his sparkling eyes. "The- the moon is beautiful, isn't it?" Brian's smile widened, as his hazel eyes focused on Tim's bronze eyes. "I love you too, Brian." Tim answered as they both continued their hot drinks. Unexpectedly, a cat jumped on the bench and passed through Tim's thighs as it ended up sitting between the two males. It was pitch black and it had brunswick green eyes, it was fluffy enough to handle the cold. We repeat, the animal ended up resting itself between the two males, and, of course, they didn't mind. Brian looked again at Tim who was petting the cat and smiling with his clean teeth. The blond male thought; even after everything they went through, even after praying at Alex and Jay's graves, even after surviving five and more years of torture, they have the power to say: 'this is not how the story is going to end', even though they were the designers of their own catastrophes, they're the ones holding the pencils, and they have every ability to erase the 'expected' conclusion and write a new one.
