(Ethan and Mark are together, but Amy is a friend/editor for the entire book. I'm not into the cheating thing some people do because I respect their relationships how they are.)
Ethan was laying in his bed, wearing one of Mark's hoodies. He was thinking about Unus Annus ideas when his phone rang. He picked it up and saw it was Mark.
"Hey, babe! What're you doing?" Mark said, smiling brightly.
"Hey." Ethan said, weakly waving at him.
It had been a few weeks since they had seen each other because of the lockdown, but they still videochatted every day. He missed being in Mark's bed, cuddling with him and breathing in his scent.
"Hey, you there?" Mark said, waving his hand at the screen.
Ethan came back to reality and let out a soft giggle.
"Sorry, I was thinking about us before the pandemic." Ethan said, laying back down and smiling.
"So, how have you been since the lockdown?" Mark asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's been better. I gained a little weight, but I don't care. Oh, I also heard that we can go out again, but we need masks." Ethan said, a hopeful tone in his voice.
"Aw, my chubby baby." Mark said, making a duck face.
Ethan laughed and pulled his blanket over his chest, the soft side pressed against his face.
"I want to cuddle." he said, making a kissy face.
Mark sighed and nodded.
"Maybe when we can go out, I'll come over and we can cuddle, ok? We have to get tested first, though." Mark said, playing with his hair.
Ethan giggled and nodded, smiling at Mark.
"I can't wait to see you, babe." Ethan said, blowing him a kiss.
Mark yawned and looked at the time. He saw it was already midnight and sighed.
"Baby, I gotta sleep. We have to record in the morning. I'll see you tomorrow on Discord, okay?" he said, winking at Ethan.
Ethan nodded and blew him another kiss. They exchanged "I love you"s and "Goodnight"s before they hung up. Ethan laid down and turned on his heated blanket, trying to make it seem like Mark laying next to him. He couldn't wait until tomorrow and he couldn't wait to be able to see him again.
