"Yah, go get me a glass of cold water." my (annoying) stepmother demanded.
We have plenty of maids, yet that lady still asks me to do things. I heard, one of our maids, Mrs Han sigh. I glanced at her and flashed her a slight smile, which she returned, but her eyes showed pity towards me.
"Yes..." I answered before hurrying to the kitchen. I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Why do I even have to do this?" I mumbled to myself.
I grabbed a glass and a bottle of water. I poured the water in the glass, and after that, I put a few ice cubes in it. I walked slowly, and carefully back to the living room. I gently placed it on the coffee table, which was right in front of her.
"Is there anything else you want me to do?" I asked her, exaggerating on the word 'else'. My tone was clearly bored, and irritated.
"Bae Hyebin, did I raise you to be such a rude young lady?" she asked me, throwing daggers at me with her scariest glare.
Not that it was scary for me. It didn't scare me at all, not even a little bit. I wasn't scared of her, since I didn't care about her existence. If she did anything, I'd just call grandma, since grandma and I have a mutual hatred for the lady who's currently glaring at me.
Grandma and I were against their marriage ever since dad said he started dating her. Dad was blinded by whatever he saw in her, to see that she was only a gold-digger. It was so easy to tell, since it was always in her eyes.
"Well, technically, you didn't raise me." I said, challenging her. "My mom did. Someone with actual blood relation to me." I said.
I was sick of this lady always bossing me around, so I'm gonna stand up for myself.
"This is how you talk to me?" she asked. "This is how they raised you?" she asked again.
"Well, my mom taught me to stand up for myself, so yeah. This is how I'm going to talk to you, and this is how I was brought up." I said, and added a smile, just to make her mad. And I succeeded, because she was fuming right now.
"Honey!" she yelled and I rolled my eyes. Always using my dad as her secret weapon.
"Yes dear?" he asked and I wanted to vomit, but cry at the same time. His voice was so sweet that it disguested me. He never did that to mom as he was so mean to her sometimes.
Then that lady started explaining everything to him and acting like she was about to cry.
"Bae Hyebin." he said my name sternly. "You don't belong in this household anymore. You have 2 days to pack up and leave." he said, making me shocked. And I had to refrain from pulling that old lady's hair.
"Alright." I answered briefly. "I'm going to go pack now." I said and skipped to my room, slamming the door closed.
But a thought popped into my mind and I opened the door again, poking my head out of it. "I'm going to Auntie Lee's place in Seoul!" I yelled and slammed the door closed again.
I crouched down, sighing and then as if on cue, tears started flowing uncontrollably as I buried my face in my palms.
[A/N: Heyaaa~ Do you like the idea of this ff? Lol. It just popped into my mind when I thought about my childhood days when my mom used to scare me, saying that if I don't behave, she would kick me out of the house. Weird, I know. I made te cover myself, in case you were wondering why I didn't put any credits to dedications and all that. Anyways,
QOTD: Have you ever got involved in an actual fist fight?
AOTD: Nah. I'm too nice for that. Lol jk. I'm a little bitchy at times doe XD]
